post some pics please as i might install mine on fri...(sitting in the garage right now) depends on the lift kit (if you have and what brand and a little on who installed it). I have a 6" lift on my truck...towed the 5er (16000 lb) was good for a year of towing and now it is lowered about 3" when trailer is on. Getting old I guess. Capt

She cracked the dash trim on the bike. Havnt really looked to close yet to see if any other damage. She did say that she was happy that she was the first 1 to break the bike lol usually it is someone else. It was an awesome weekend for all that missed it. A little warm but doable. Capt

Just unloaded most of everything and just sat down on the computer...wheeew. It was a awesome weekend drove in on friday about 2:30, talked to BOB and he blew out 3rd gear and his car was down he was happy as a clam and had a great attitude about it ...went for a few rides and 1 after dark. Just awesome. Rode the quad on sat and ran into Aaron and Danny...great guys.. I changed some gearing around and went from 53mph to 58 up banshee but still not fast enough to beat Aarons bike...maybe next time (after she is on a diet). Went to the meet and greet and like steted not a big showing but enough. Great seeing Mike and Jodi ... Mike is a great guy and fun to dune with.. did some jumps with him and ran the hills. those jets were awesome as they flew by...tried to get some pics but not sure if i was fast enough. Saturday after noon took my niece and 2 of her friends on a rail ride....drove about an hour and went over the backside of comp to head back to camp...made it to the flats and there was a little finger i thought i would hit in 3rd gear....welll let me say i almost SHIAT myself....back end hit that transition i went airborn landed partially on my driver front and it rolled forward like that (seemed like forever) back end almost got ahead of me....I said whoooaaaahhhhh as all we could see was the sand (as my a$$ end was straight up and down) and finally the passengers tire hit and the the rear finally came down real hard (thought i broke something) ... all was good and i went badck to camp and had a couple beers lol. Bob did work on his tranny (not a cole tranny either) and did manage to get 1st 2nd and reverse working...holy hell he is still fast in the dunes with a broken tranny. James (our friend) stayed with us and we had great dune runs( always a pleasure). big screen on the trailer rocks. Buggy chick and Mike came over and drank sum tainted drinks my wife makes lol all in all a great weekend. O yeah my wife rolled her quad on sat afternoon headover heals and she is pretty banged up.... but ok,.... bike is not bad either. will post pica later (of what i have anyways) Capt

personally I would rather the rail be in front of me so i wasnt worried about him running me over. 5 min in the sand can be alot of miles if you are going fast so 5 min in the sand could have been a log distance especially behind a squirly bike Capt Capt

I have watched the bikes ride in the sand and i have also ridden a bike in the sand and 90% of all bike riders are squirly in the sand....its the nature of the beast. Its not rider...its the sand.. Capt you are have right about most of what you posted. I agree completely about some of the things you said. However, you are making it out to be like it was a race though. We went on a "nothing to prove" ride and I think Sand Saw just isn't used to the style of riding we do. Let's not get him worked up more than he already is. I already see personal attacks form both sides and that will get this thread closed and/or people suspended. Not cool, people. Ok it want a race it was a unmarked track run at a fast rate of speed and I know how hard it is to race when the bike keeps getting squirly ok I am done with all this topic...you can lock it now sorry for any personal attacks Pops!! ^ ^ ^ Wow .. this is going to get real interesting sounds like someone is a alotta butt hurt on the forum. 1st off Terry is a GREAT guy, The absolute best dune leader out there and very cautious in the dunes. I think you need to speed up your riding skills and SLOW DOWN your typing skills. Stop gettting all butt hurt over riding and others observations....guess it would have made things a little more interesting if he ran you over....then roosted you for good measure.. humm. We all go out to ride (hopefully) within our abilities and its not a problem if you cant keep up ( I know I woulndt be able to either). Terry (ynot) is like a Dad at the dunes to many of us and a GREAT guy to ride with and talk to. Arrogant? arent we all? Reading your post you sound like the biggist asss on the forums that get his panties cramped up is sandyvagina. Calm down and relax a bit. Its only a game ...JEEEZ! You rode and your right you are not the fastest out there and thats fine. Soo leave it at that .. if your not the best your not the best and thats all right..isnt it? Your at the dunes doing what ya like. Some people ride cause there good and some ride to learn.
