  1. Congrats bro!!!! Should be a super fun trip. That car should handle great and be fast. I wish I could be at thirsty thursday tonight to BS about it.
  2. I think at 8 pounds it's about 425 HP. I believe you would have to run 105 octane.(Just a guess) This is an interesting post by Don at Sandcars Unlimited. http://www.glamisdunes.com/invision/index....showtopic=74118
  3. I would highly recommend the Subaru. Like nick said you will have to run race gas at 8 pounds of boost max or 10 pounds max with a intercooler. With the 80 pounds of weight savings the car will handle way better. Another option is the turbo Honda, that would be my first choice. The Turbo Honda is a fantastic motor package. You are definately headed in the right direction with the motors you are planing on using. A turbo 350-450HP motor is hands down a better option than a heavy a$$ V-8. They are way easier on trannys and CV's. Good Luck with whatever you decide.
  4. What chassis are you putting it in? Are those your only choices? Does the Nissan need race gas?
  5. I'LL LEAVE THIS ONE ALONE!!! :north_pole:
  6. Here is another sweet car, has all the option you want!!! 2006 Sandwinder 5 seater Turnkey LS1 w/Truck intake Chrome package with carbon fiber cover Mendeola 2D W/G50 upgrade Charlyn Power steering Front & Rear disc brakes Quick Release Light Bar Nash Custom paint Candy Powder with swirl Only one trip on this car and it performed outstanding. 7. He wanted to throw down, I would have put a serious smack down on him!!! It would have been cool to see his dentures fly out of his mouffff.
  8. I don't think I have ever seen a commercial of a rhino in the sand. I have seen them on a mountain road in the commercial. Like OGP said, that is not what they were meant for, but they sure are fun out there. Thanks for the ride Kenny.
  9. I'll be out there Thursday night.
  10. I will definately stop by to see the new car. When are you heading out?
  11. We should be where the red area is. The blue would be the alternate spot.
  12. You make it sound like people with money shouldn't go to the dunes, is it reserved for white trash? I think you meant people with no common sense, with or without money. Payments on a quad are probably $150 a month for a 450......not that much money for a powerful quad that can hurt you. What I meant was, if you would have read the post, was exactly what I have bolded. It's not a money thing, it is a common sense thing. I don't have money either, but I think I have alot of common sense.(well most of the time)
  13. I am going to upgrade alittle bit. Mine runs approx 400 HP with the 7 pound pulley and 430HP with the 10 pound pulley. It is 81" wide in the front and 92" wide in the rear. It fits in my weekend warrior without changing tires.
  14. yeah, that's Dan's car. We used to go out all the time. That car is super clean and he took excellent care of it. I would definately drive it smart if you or someone you know buys it.
  15. Is the car red with red panels that have custom silver paint on them?
  16. A guy I used to camp with had a twin turbo shortstar and an 091 in a Sandcars Unlimited 5 seater and he drove it pretty careful and it is still going.
  17. I would not go over 1500 pounds and 250 horsepower if you want it to last.
  18. Huh, you don't even want to turbo yours. So, why would you like that motor?
  19. It's only a 2 seater. Wouldn't do him any good.
  20. I'll be out there Tuesday afternoon. I'm going to be in my normal spot, but will definately be partying with DDR alot.
  21. That car has everything and then some, and you can run straight 91 octane fuel. If you offer him $38,000 and he takes it that would about where your original budget was.............Good Luck
