  1. Great this will give me something to start with. Thanks.
  2. Did a search on this but didn't find anything. The wife and I are about ready to head out to the windy city for all the festivities and I thought it would be a good weekend to play around with my race scanner. It's and older bearcat 200 and will just about pick up any radio charter. I was wondering if any of you happen to know what frequency that the BLM,EMT,Flight for life Ect. run out there.
  3. I use the standard Xmas style LED's with a multi colored beacon that I run off of a spare battery with inverter. It will usually last the whole weekend (3 nights) if the battery is fully charged. All the night owls know where the off switch is when there done for the night. The only problem I have is the weight of all that and the flags when the wind whips ( I think that's most of the time out there LOL). I have had a pole break so I'm going to start running two (one with flags and one with lights).

    Old/Bad gas

Well no lawn mower because no lawn LOL. My truck is a diesel and my daughter is to young to drive and about the only low compression engine is have is a power washer. I use stabilizer but some how this few gallons didn't get treated and it does smell a little like varnish. I guess I'll hall it out to the dunes and use it for a fire starter until it's gone. Thanks for the help.
  5. I did a search on this and did not find anything. It seems like every year I go through my stuff and drain the old gas and clean what needs to be cleaned to get ready for the season. I was just wondering what everyone does with the old gas? I have in the past used it to kill weeds and taken some to the dunes to start the camp fire but I'm looking for a safer more environmentally friendly way to dispose of it.
  6. Checked Extreme nothing in stock but I think the guy has me talked in to some offsets. they have them for a pretty good price and says he will mount them on my stock tires for free.

    firewood

I in the past have went to construction sites here and there on Sunday mornings and picked up scraps most don't care as long as your not taking any good wood off the job.
  8. I'm looking for some wheel spacers for the rear of our Rhino and was hoping to find them here in town (Vegas).
  9. We have done #1 and #4 both are good but #1 is my favorite. My neighbor used to cook a pig in the ground in his back yard on his wifes birthday that was great.
  10. This is our mean MinPin Dixie she's a little over a year old now.
  11. No I'm not familiar with him. where is he located? Or do you have a number?
  12. Ya please let me know I need the SE (Gray/Silver) ones. Thanks.
  13. I'm looking for 2 Stock Special Edition Rhino seats. Anybody in Vegas have these laying around in there garage and want to sell them?
  14. Busy and bumpy. I just happened to be over at the ranger outpost when they were responding to the Buggy accident no one was moving very fast and that's always a bad sign. We will be going out again next weekend to enjoy a little more quite time I hope.
  15. Got by there today and boy was it windy. Didn't see any grading of the road going on unless they were down a ways. Saw a few camped at little Dumont and some heading into the main dune but not to busy yet.
  16. Ya thats what I'm talking about. I'm not able to park my rig at the house and have been looking into getting a solar panel to keep the bats up. If you battery isn't charging make sure the terminals are clean and if you can keep it at home use a trickle charger on it. You can get a pretty good one for about 30 to 40 bucks at your local auto parts store. well worth it and you can use it for your bike batteries also. Also my rig has a plunger type shut off right below the fridge.
  17. Friday morning unless I can get home and packed up early enough to head out Thursday night.
  18. We always make at least one trip over there during the weekend to let the kids ride.
  19. I usually run the road between Baker and Shoshone a couple times a week for work so If I see the graders working the dirt road in I'll let everyone know.
  20. Just wondering what kind of shape the river crossing was in sense the last report.
  21. It makes for a great weed killer.

  24. I sure hope when they get around to doing it they address the flooding issue and somehow divert the water under the crossing that would be great.
  25. Check out the Slide Rock area that's pretty neat and there's like a Main street area with lots of little shops and restaurants there are many hotels to choose from but you getting into there busy time to book as far ahead as you can. I have also done the Train/Grand canyon thing and it's fun the kids will love the Train ride and the Grand Canyon is awesome the only thing is you really don't have much time to look around if you just doing the day trip. Hope this helps have fun.
