i have the dodge 4x4 with the cummins ho it is far from gutless it made the most power till chevys o6 durapuke came out i have a 6" lift on 38s with 4:10 gears and i pull that 34' box trailer at about 12,000 lbs mine rides nice . as far as a fifthwheel i think long beds the only way to go and i know they improved the duramax but im not a fan .i love my dodge. it pulls like a bear

that year was a good truck trannies weak if they already replaced it it will have the factory upgrade makes em last longer

you are correct, my bad. it is a 3.75 crank with the 5.7 rods in lew of the 6s .i had a bill mitchell hardcore 454 smallblock in here 1st .the 454 has a 4.25 crank in it http://www.theengineshop.com/ < refrence there i thought that the 400 was a 4" stroke. i was mistaken. its 3.75, team c in whittier biult the motor. http://www.teamc.com/ we used the heads off of the 454 motown cause they flow 310 cfm per cyl. there the 202 motowns but bill mitchell opens them up more for the 454. the originel 383 i sent in was .060 over but the sonic check revealed some weak spots so i had to buy a new block with stock bores. pic of original motor by the way .those motors are awsom but the thin cyl walls do not lend themselves to duning espeacially when harvs dyno and tune fs up your car that motor got me 420 to the rear wheels and it was fun i miss that motor. but some times with all that i start quoting specs from the 454 forgetting i have the 383 and thank you for the compliment.......... i like talking horse power........................

I am an old schooler im 42 and been going duning since diapers and an old school rule was you didnt haulass around peoples camps. you didnt create dust where you camp or others. you want to haul a$$ grow up and go to the big dunes. people are using cones (im not ) to protect because of people who cant follow rules.You dont like the rules go to the blm . Let me say that DDR were great neighbors never rude and im not attacking anyones beliefs i have an opinion and i gave it .However some people think im attacking DDR or complaining i merely have a difference of opinion. i dunno about saying that all the "big names" are the only safe rails . as a matter of fact there are a few of the "big names" i wouldnt put a v8 into much less trust my life in.

well fyi our camp there was no rebar on the hill or tape or cones. that was the camp next to us. 2 camps from you guys we were next door and although i think roping the finger halfway is prudent i do not believe that rebar is safe or proper to use on the hill like that. i believe our neighbors were using rubber cones im not honestly sure.........................

true, but when we got to the top we backed off, rolled at an angle over the dune, and crept down the other side. we didnt go blindly over or go haulin a$$ down the road on the top. What does that have to do with the kids? that was in front of our camp and we know where are kids were. We didnt fly over the other side. at least my car certainly did not! and people in my camp didnt section anything off . and if you know of a way to get my car to slow roll up that hill at a portly 2800 lbs im all ears i doubt that the red car flew over the other side either. the whole point of this is that i disagree. that people should section off at least halfway. its only an opinion but its mine . and i kinda seriuosly doubt that we even were able to break the in camp limit on that lil hill goosin it to get over the top. we could have gone up on the short hill by your camp but there was alot of kids riding there and i certainly didnt want to drive up on them.
