i wouldnt give 100,000. to a hack
i took my time. i hung out i looked at there quality of work.
i bought a cheaper model first, and we all picked it apart( it was private party)
i was very comfortable with his abilities.
the people involved in his r&d work ,where he bought the bolt on products from.
i was pretty thorough.
there was a few i was considering desert dynamics, buckshot, tatum, funco sst. even wicked.
ron from monster rail ( before it was monster rail )was gonna biuld my desert dynamics car ( its dds fault my car isnt a dd), richochette
and a few others.
i was confident this frame is as good as any out there.
if you notice i dont bag on the quality of funcos. like i told joe what scared me away was all the broken frame pics that were popping up on funcos in jumping back in 05. i mentioned this to joe or pimp they told me they fixed that problem but at that time i could only go on what i saw.
eyeball is a small shop so i kind of got offended at the "back alley" comment ,but now i think i clearly see what your refering to.
and with the frame problems i saw with one company, and the semi trained non english speaking employees of another company .i was put off by the "big boys " and the level of customer service at the same shop really fried my butt.
tatum is awsom! but to far away. its the only thing that stopped me from them.
i thought buckshot was to pricey there cars kick a$$ in my book
so i guess i prefer the smaller shops for those reasons, and i like being treated like i just bought a rolls royce even if its only a chevy ( or now a caddy)
im still friends with my biulder .i call him all the time just to bs. ( he didnt forget me after the sale)
and if i wanted a pair of 35s, right now. to try on my car. he would lend them to me .no questions asked.
thats the kind of service i like. i get a hair brained idea he wont let me do it . he isnt afraid to tell me " thats stupid " i met ricky wright from wright gearbox through him ,and he is another really great guy. i have his tranny in my car. i feel well taken care of.
yes there are some areas where my car has some short comings. but not in saftey . they are silly things that gives my car character i guess i have 0 bumpsteer killer travel and i swear my sar rides like a caddy! my known motor problems were my fault for thinking old school. i got in a couple of yelling matches with the biulder over my motor choices. lol he was pissed at me . and now that i finally listened it looks like i might ( dont want to jinx myself) have a dependable motor.
he also hooked me up with cbm who seem genually concerned on how my motor is performing for me. (after the sale) and i didnt buy one of there expensive motors. just a middle weight motor (as i call it)
