no his weight rating is much higher his trailers axels maybe 15500 but that rear axel on the rig is rated for 20,000 lbs and the front should be rated at 15,000 -

like i said they can if they want. you get into a serious accident and your overweight and they catch it your cooked !! even if your not at fault, if the other guy says weigh him his weight caused it. your cooked!! keep in mind your tounge gvw is not the final word if you had a trailer and you upgraded the axels or added an axel and improved your tires you can carry more weight. the burden of proof is on you still.( springs and frame size also plays in) semis under commercial reg in cali you can register up to a certain weight so your axels can carry it but if the owner didnt register the truck at that weight he can still get red tagged. ( thats commercial however) i know that a class c cali licenses you can pull 26,000 lbs( like a 2 axel small dump truck) as long as theres no air brakes. but using a trailer to pull the weight effects the license class. i dont know about non commercial maximums. but alot of these 1 tons are over weight to when you load them big trailers up. i know alot of the big alpha toyhaulers are dam near maxed before you put anything in them. and it wouldnt suprise me if theres otheres -
in my opinion this is utter and complete crap! why bother to join fodd , corva , asa , naacp or any other abbreviations i can think of. why so we can do what ?? they dont ban together we all lose i dont understand land closures ok . but i do know that if these little organizations do not start trying to stand together it will be one loss after another. i do know that the sierra club gets land closed on a whim. i understand by reading these posts that that land has been closed for so long nobody even knows why. which means nobodies trying to even find out what options are out there. these organazations all meet at various meetings including the trt meetings anyone ever thought of looking into what it would take?? how bout asking the feds to go back and and reexamin the reasons for the closings. are they still necessary?? were they ever necessary. why is it the sierra club can cause and or start the blm looking into endangered matters its not on there dime when the blm or a related government entity. looks to see if there case holds merit. theres an entire branch of government dedicated to enviromentle study. theres more enthusiats and less places to play. it fries my a$$ that my taxes pay for this weed protection bs. but i have to pay addl to go camp. forested land i can agree with its a habitat of wild life and naturale recourses but not a desert, not weeds, im sorry i dont see it. and if they found 1 inth of useable plutoniam that place would be tore to shreds. education?? lets educate people on the wastefull bs of closing these lands on a whim from people like the sierra club. or the people they financially back like boxer and fienstien. i really wonder how many people vote for either one of them and then get im there buggy and go for a ride or there quad. plus effen hypocrits like honda usa give money to th sierra club and sell us dirt bikes and quads all of them this was a waste of typing but dammit if it dont make me mad !!!

-
motor is in ,the light bar is at the powder coater. they needed to rework some water lines. waiting for the sway bar to arrive today. fix the skid plate. the headers are coming from cbm waiting on those. it should be ready for pickup tomorrow
-
how about somthing different lets REOPOEN . theres nothing out there thats criticle. nothing out there is going to destroy the earth. cause a species to extinct. destroy an eco system . spend a half a million dollars to protect fuggin weeds. this is complete and total crap. this is what i was talking about in that one post of mine. attack there hold on that area . wasting money to protect weeds :shocked2: open it up and let us use it. its public lands let it be public lovely thought, put the dunes in a cage .how scenic. so we can sit back like utter and complete morons and say gee we sure are protecting those pretty weeds . to bad we cant get even a nice picture of the fuggin things cause of a fence. open the land and spend the money tp pay our leos and not have to raise fees as fast. or in the real world use the money to prove that there is no harm to a bunch of weeds and open it .

no, sick days thought right .your forgetting about ladderal energy . if you take a low slung car such as the corvette nice low center of gravity look under it youll find a sway bar for the exact reasons described above ogp makes a good point and they aid it somewhat but the ladderal energy cannot be compensated with valving ill explain more a lil later back to "the sheild".......................................... anywase hypotheticaly your car weighs 2000 lbs lets say. the front carries 400lbs at each wheel. the rear carries 600 per wheel .when the car leans hard most of that weight is transfered to the two wheels on the side its leaning into. the otherside is lifting. the weight dosnt dissapear it transfers. your bypases are set and valved to handle the 600 and 400 so youve overloaded those shocks and valving. thats why it negates it. the sway bar actually transfers some of the weight back to the other side by not allowing it to lift and keeps it more planted. depending on the size or pressure the torsion bar is set for controls how much it will allow to transfer. a light or small torsion bar allows more indepedent movement at the cost of increased lean less weight transfer. while a large or stiffer torsion bar suffers independent movement such as a caddy corner cross over a razor. but transfers more weight or plants the other side thats lifting increasing your cornering ability. and a taller more top heavier car with longer shocks of course needs more than a lower slung car. but the difference is substantial. when adding a sway bar it can make the taller car handle as good as the lower slung car without one. my reason for asking about being undecided comes from the fact that theres not to many out there for buggies and if all they had was some cheap a$$ unit for hype i dont want one .so im asking making sure they are what they are supposed to be. which i can see is that they are making quality working swaybars me personally im going for a mid sized bar to try to get a good balance. there is more to it than that but that is the basics. it is proven science not theory hope it helps

ley me be the first to say touche well said

they are light to start with as a cruiser in the dunes it will be fine. very dependable motors i have a 95 yj rockcrawler and its fun. i took my buddies stock yj on 33s all the way to the top of banshee hill cruising came down on the right and cruised through the back dunes and his truck has an auto i was in 4 hi i had fun lol. youll need wider tires 5 lbs of air it'll stroll as easilly as a sammy
-
the long travel makes it more noticable in lt cars. a sway bar connects the trailing arms on a torsion bar and transfers momentum. allowing you not to lean so hard and lets you corner faster. the flip side is less articulation over razors and such for me its a fair trade. it doesnt hinder your travel when jumping only articulating which menas on a steep razor it might plant my rearend and cause the leading front tire to catch air " three wheeling" which i dont mind personally. ive been seeing way to many lt cars flipping on simple slides i want less roll or lean all cars have them . i sacrafice a lil for more performance and in my view saftey. :shoot_head:

barefoot bob replied to Richard Cheese's topic in General Chat
i think that qualifies for just scent of a woman :chev_bowtie: :shoot_head: and ya it looks like its a fiberglass kit kar look at the way the front end is busted off or thats how it looks to me but still it probably cost him 40,000 to biuld it minimum eeee gads -
those are unibodies so james will have to cage it a lil heavy than just a normal roll bar . but i see a future rock crawler right there :chev_bowtie:
