I was bored so I started wireing them up. Have them all wired to one circuit breaker on one toggle switch. Stealth to bling at the flip of a switch.

How do you load your sandrail- Pull in or Back in?
80grit replied to 80grit's topic in Sandrail Talk
I think I will go with the back in trick. It will save me changing out the 2 front tires and put most of the weight in the middle of the 3 axles. I was thinking the same thing on the winch. I just hate to do a permanent installation inside the coach. I have a removable 5th hitch on my 1 ton truck and was thinking of stealing that design. Beef up the plateing under the coach to accept the twist pins and mount the winch on the steel bar. This way I could pop it in or out when needed. When not in use, just use a flat mounting plug to plug the holes in the floor. Make up a 12 volt high current plug in the front cabinet area. Portable winch -

In my research prior to buying the car, I found out the owners were the lead fabricators at Alumi Craft. They are based out of El Cajon, California. They are metal fabricators. -

I picked up that ASC car I asked you about. Just had to many options that I couldnt replicate buying new. Also its a bit bigger then the SCU which I liked. If I pull this in, I have to change four tires (loading tires). If I back it in I only have to change the rears. I was just curious from a wieght distribution perspective. Is it better to have the weight to the rear or over the wheels (backed in). I towed it home pulling it in and it towed just fine. Just curious how everyone else did it. -
Just curious for the peeps that have 5th wheel toy haulers if they pull their rails in or back them in. I have a 3 axle Weekend Warrior and wondering if I pull in (with the added weight of the engine in the back of the rail)....if it will put too much extra weight on the back set of tires? Backing in seems like it would distribute the weight evenly over all 3 axles. How do you peeps do it?

These were taken by Thierry Legualt on May 12 and 13th. Think about the difficulty. Space shuttle traveling at 17,500 Mph at an altitude of 350 miles. It crossed in front of the sun in just .08 seconds. Shooting into the sun light! In the second picture, the small dot next to the shuttle is the Hubble Telescope. To cool ! Here is his website http://www.skynyx.fr/legault/atlantis_hst_transit.html -

I have a Radeon X1900 Display adapter. I use a program called Aperture to catalog and post produce my pictures. Sometimes I use Photoshop CS3. When I do sharpen, I use the Un sharp mask tool. Usually set Amount to 85%, Radius 1, Threshold 4 for my outdoor sports shots (starting point). For people shots I set Amount to 150%, Radius 1, Threshold 10 (as a starting point). Just haven't played with the Smart sharpen yet. -

Im running a 24" Cinema Display on my Mac. With the Cinema HD profile the whole picture has a blue tint. Doesnt feel warm enough. If I switch to the Adobe RGB (1998) profile, it warms it right up and looks good. Which profile are you using on your monitor? -

The weather was perfect out there and the sand was so smooth thursday and friday. Depth perception was off with no tire tracks and friday I flew off the top of a razor on my quad. Broke the beadlocks on 2 of the tires and bruised my ribs pretty bad. Gonna head out for xrays to make sure its only a bruise. Had a lot of time saturday to shoot some pics since I could not ride anymore. Here is a few. Moon Rising over Hill Shot with 50mm lens F16 at 30 seconds Look at the size of the motor in this little sand sprite.

I think he was just checking to see if he was hurt. The guy did get up and walk around afterwards. I think he was just stunned by the rollover. Didnt appear to be hurt to bad.

On Saturday this Tatum turned over on it lid also. He was traveling from the far right of comp Hill (long Comp) moving left and coming down on to the short comp hill. A smaller rail appeared to be making a run up short comp hill at the time. The Tatum swerved and rolled onto its own hood. As far as I could tell, they did not hit. It also appeared no one got hurt. After the Leos talked to them, they drove the tatum off on its own power. Tatum before accident Tatum after the accident and bunch of guys pushed it back over on its wheels Tatum driving away after accident. You can see some of the damage on the roof and tail fin
