We left big bear around 8pm wed night... got to Barstow filled the MoHO...$347.00 in fuel than headed to Baker. The winds were really strong.. Just before we got to Baker the winds blew the MoHo off the hwy while I was doing 60mph... FU#*IN SCARY!! We filled up water in baker than headed to the D.. We found our friends parked next to the rock pile around 4am, so I just parked and went to sleep.. The nest morning they were meeting other friends at the top of the first finger.. I follower and got my 34 Foot MoHo and the 16 foot trailer a lil stuck.. We dug it out, unhooked the trailer than was able to drive into camp.. The are was great!! Out of the way and above the dust... We wont park there again just because it is really hard driving there and driving out.. Friday morning my lil girls quad heat seized.. The oil injector stopped working... Fckin Suzuki lt 80.. What a P.O.S!! The rest of the weekend was fun.. I finally made the meet and greet.. I had my lil girls ride their quads there.. It was a little challenging for them.. The group was really big but nobody wanted to talk.. Kind of a wast of time.... We than went on a ride to the north pole than to vender row for some grub.. Sunday my oldest daughter and her friend got reall bad sick so I loaded up real fast and haul azz out.. The Lame BLM check point on the way out was making everyone wait around... The idoit ranger was taking his sweet azz time checking passes.... Nest time get your head out and have a system... Friggen waited forever getting out! Over all it was a good trip.. We met "Dunefreak and Dunemonkey" at vendors row Friday.. "Really Kool Peps"!! Friday night I took all the kids to the haunted house it was well worth waiting in line for an hour and 45 mins..LOL!! But really they put on a great show!! My two lil ones were freaked out so bad it took a half hour to get them to stop crying...LOL!! As for the so called Shower Queen.. You guys blew it!! We had so many peps wanting to use the showers!! Oh well!! Fck em!! Good times.... The crowd during the weekend was not bad at all.. We could really get around and the dunes were wide open. The wind blown dunes were really sharp and steep in areas ... We wont be back till next Halloween...

Can you fit two quads in the back of a F250
Dune Dad replied to Botchan's topic in ATV / Motorcycle Talk
We would stand both the quads on the back grab bars than slide them foward close to the cab. when you get to this point than you want to make sure they are tied down good!! Dont want them rolling out when you make turns or slamming in to your cab, denting in the cab roof and breaking out the back glass.. I would use 2 tie downs foward off of the handle bars or the front quad bumper to the front of the truck bed, than 2 more tie downs off of the foot pegs to the back of the bed. This way I knew they were locked into place. This kind of a pain to get the second quad up when there is not much room left from the first quad.. Or you could roll the first quad in the truck bed, stand it up on its back end, spin it around so that the seat is near the cab than roll the second in, stand it up on the back end so that they are tire to tire. Tie the two quads together with tie downs, maybe go from the front quad bumper to the other quad bumper, than tie down the bars to the front and the back of the truck bed.... If either one works... Be sure to check the quads once in a while.. They come loose going down the road sometimes... Good Luck.. -
Gaud Damn thats sooo FUNNY but true!!! :surrender: :kissass: Yep... 10 Mph and under is the magic number... LOL!! Holding on to the Fridge and Microwave at 50Mph... LMAO!!

Here is some good news.. If this road is a San Bernardino County Maintained road you can go after the county for damage to your property... A county matained dirt road must be reasonabily smooth and be able to be driven at 15 MPH or better. I just found this in the county web site. If this dirt road way does not have a large yellow sign that states it is NOT a maintained road than it is a maintained road and any reasonable maintance is to be done by the county road departments. Their is a county road department yard just out side of baker on 127. Its the chain link fenced yard with the orange trucks and yellow graders. Check into it on line... You may have to play their game but it may work out in your favor...

I think if the haunted house had a Obama section that would scare the :poop: out of everyone!!! sounds like good times! We cant wait!!

Well... Im glad our funds are working for us... Bike sticker fees, Blm pass fees, reg fees... Whatever.. Guess we will take it real slow. The last time I took the MoHo slow on that road there was a couple of trucks pulling their toyhaulers at "Mach 1" behind us till they got to us than it was a horn war.... Maybe the road will graded next week.

Wow!! How bad could it be? Im going to be driving a 34' A MoHo with a 16' trailer out there wed... Dont want to break anything just driving there... WTF!!

I know its a stupid question.... but can I still buy the weekend pass out in Dumont? After getting everything ready, rebuilding the top end on some of the quads and whatever, I have not had the time to get a pass yet. I was thinking of just buying one when we get out there Wednesday..... :pumpkin: I think I saw something in this site about a vender selling them.... Anybody?

Sorry to hear another set of bikes have been stolen... Try to post some pix of the quads and trailer... It would help us while we are out riding.. Any picture would help... If someone knows what the bikes really look like and can remember the last 4 #s of the Vin you could possibly get them back.... Its a long shot.... GOOD LUCK!!!

We live in the land of the free only because of the brave
Dune Dad replied to OGP's topic in General Chat
I love my country... My son is in the Army RIGHT NOW defending this great country!! It Pisses me off BIG TIME when I hear Liberal, Hippie Bull S#*T about how the military and our country is doing the wrong thing... And when these pukes cry about how bad they have it... Get it together MOPE!!! I do everyting I can to send back as many Illegals as possable.... I love this great land and would die for it!! If you dont like it here than get the F*#K OUT!!! Oh Ya... And by the way... Enough with the Press #1 for English or Press #2 for Illegal.... Just Press #1 to continue... #2 to get out..... -
I beleve that if you do not have a California Sticker you need to have a Non-Resident sticker.... This state works very hard in screwing people over.. I dont see how having a out of state sticker is going to work.. Ask one of the rangers when you get to dumont..

Last year we took the kids in our camp in my sons toyota truck trick or treating.. I was using that damn McFlurry ballon as a land mark until I noticed it was mobile.. LOL!! It rained that night for a while.. It was great!! Just make sure the lil ones are safe and not running around from camp to camp.. Their are still a lot of quads, bikes and trucks running around. I kept the kids in one truck so that they did not get lost.. We have had a great time the last 5 years during Halloween.. Kids love it!!

Good job!! Be safe out there....
-
LOL!! :beer_bang: Yep.. I got that covered... The water thing really has saved us a ton of $$$

I have been a Contractor for some time and have seen some fat times and now dealing with some lean times... Keeping things simple seems to really work... For instance when I buying materials with Cash and not Credit I have really paid attention to the over all cost. The same has followed with general shopping. When your not using credit cards you really watch whats going out. I went to Chaparral MotorSports to get tires and things for this dune season.. Usually I would have the kids with me and we would blow the tires off of a credit card buying stuff. LOL!! :beer_bang: Now were sticking to the basics.. I think the best investments Iv made is recycling the beer cans.... The more you drink the more you get back... So what are you doing to survive this recession were in?

Looks like Im keeping the Toyota Tacoma 4banger.... When the Fuel price goes up again we will be parking the gas guzzlers..

Thats great the Dealer made it right!! :beer_bang: As for your dealership DuneFreak.. Im sure you work for one of the few good dealers.. Im not a mechanic... I just know that most dealerships ar B.S!! I have owned a few chevy cars and 4x4s. Every time I had the chevy dealers do some kind of warr work to them it was a problem. I even had the chevy dealer dent in my door and say it was like that when they got it.. Most of the dealers in San Bernardino, Redlands and Riverside are crooks..
