California off-road green stickers are a rip off!! We have 5 Quads and 3 dirt bikes.. 2 quads do not have green stickers. "The kids out grow them to fast." At $50.00 dollars per 2 years, Thats $150.00 a year I pay to go off-road a couple of times a year.. I think that this state is going to be in real trouble if they keep jacking the fees up any more.. People can not afford to pay these ridiculous fees any more...

This Halloween was good... The kids were a pain in the AZZ the whole 4 days we were there... WE got in to Dumont at 4am Thursday morning.. We left Big Bear Lake around 8pm was driving down the back side and I lost the breaks on my 34ft Motorhome.. Got it stopped by using the reailer breaks. We stayed on the side of the road for an hour to let the brakes cool off.. It freaked out every one. The rv has 100 gal water 7 people and a 7x16 ft trailer with 5 quads on it... Thursday I spent getting everything up and ready.. SPONGE BOB kicked my AZZ trying to put him on top of the RV...LOL I put him on the quad trailer.. The next day I say that someone poked a hole in him over night... I tryed to fix but no luck.. I went to the South pole by 10:50 am and nobody was there... The rain saturday night at comp hill was awsom.. My kid took my banshee up the hill a couple of times and I went up twice... Sunday"Today" was an ok drive home... Over all The crouds were good... I think the amount of people out this weekend was just right.. I didnt see Mercy Air at all this weekend... Thats very good news.. To tired now.. See ya..

You say that you excellerated your Vehical down the on ramp to catch up with traffic and the tire spun on a wet spot... Thats no big deal... The cop that cited you must of been a Highway Patrol officer... I would go to court on that cite.. That is kind of a weak ticket. If you go than dress nice and act professional when you talk to the judge. I would say that you were trying to merge in with traffic and as you were traveling along the on ramp your truck hit a oil slick, you than let off the gas to gain control and continuned on the ramp. As for the officer that cited you... Hopefully you were calm and not giving him any S#*t...LOL! As you are telling the judge your side if the story I would include that you feel that this ticket has been issued in the wrong and that you are not a hot rod driver you simply hit an oil slick by accident and that your truck is a powerfull diesel. It is very light in the rear end and when you hit a slick the tires may break traction for a second and that you a good driver and that you try very hard to stay out of trouble driving and that your record speaks for it self... I would also say that you did not want to argue with the Officer, that you respect Law Enforcement and that you feel that this is what traffic court is for to explain your self... I have gone to court on other things and have been shocked when the judge lets someone off that really messed up... They have acted and said what i just typed here... Hope that helps you a little.. Good Luck with the ticket... :mischevious:

Less than 24 hrs to go!!! :mischevious:

The Blm and The S.O. will be watching anybody in these littered areas.. If they are seen throwing trash down they will be cited. Hopfully they are drunk so they can be taken for Dui and/or Drunk in Public. :mischevious: If you see someone leave trash let Law Enforcement know. If you have a plate number or can ID the Vehicle they were in and/or their camp they will be cited but you will have to do a citizens cite with that Law Enforcement agent. You will also have to go to court as the soul wittness to that crime. It sucks because you have to deal with that person in court but if you dont mind spending time in court than thats about the only way I know to deal with those kind of loosers... :flatbiller: If that does not work for you than ..... it get the point to them...

Lets get off the gun thing... LOL.. Its getting a little to far out of bounds. Pretty soon someone is going to show pix of land mines and or full auto long guns.... We dont need to give the BLM any more reason to close the area down or add more man power... Im sure many campers have been packin for years. I dont see the problem with it as long as people are smart about it. This topic is about camp security. Locking down your sutff.. Lets alll have a great season.

Welcome!!! We have been going to dumont for 5 years now... There are many other people here that have been going much longer.. Sounds like your rig is heavy. I have seen many pusher rigs in the flats. The closer you get to the dunes or the fingers the more you may sink. If you drive up the hill past the pay station you will pass the BLM/Sheriff area to your right... Turn left any drive along the edge of the flats. Its far enough away to not get stuck as easy and your away from most of the dust and madness.. This area is more hard pack than sand. Last year at Halloween we noticed that the croud was not as bad as the last few years. It was crouded but you could get around much easyer. As for checking your bikes at the enterance... We have never been checked there or any where in Dumont.. All our bikes/quads are legal. Hope this helps.. :porn:

Sounds like a POS :poop: !! Thats a good ford.. Sit.. Roll over.. Play Dead!! J/K!! LOL!! Run it into a tree or just off it!! 3-4 times for the same thing and I think you can do the lemon law thing..

THis Sucks!! Those riders are good but go cry somewhere else!! All i get out of it is bitching about the sand and how cool they think they are... :flatbiller: :porn:

When I bought my pass from the BLM office in Barstow they wrote my last name on it but no plate number.. Has anyone been cited out there for not displaying their pass during the weekend? I usually by the pass, lay it down on the dash board than when we leave I show it to the ranger on the way out.
-
Yes VERIZON... Can you hear me now?? F@$K!!! LOL! My cell works good on top of the rock pile and around the flats.. Last season I was able to call some friends from the top of Comp Hill... Verizon kicks AZZ out there!! "Single Bar" and "Spit" sucks!!

NET GUNS!! Now thats COOL!!! I really like that idea.. You could net the puke that tryed to rip off your bike than hang his azz up in the air for all to see!!! Than the B.B Gun thing would come in to play.. If you start selling net guns put me down for 5 of them!!!

Sounds good.. Anybody is welcome to come by our camp!!
