We're going to crash with our friends, but bring our EZ UP, too! It stinks not having a toy hauler, but it'll be nice not having to deal with the whole loading and unloading gig! I hope our friends got a good spot!
-
Yeah, I know! I liked taking the back way from #6 to vendor row, so we didn't have to go on the main highway!!!

We looked at getting a 5th wheel with our Dodge 2500 with 6 inch lift and 37" tires. The dealership thought it was possible, but it was really close and made us nervous. We ended up with a bumper pull Raptor with 18 ft of cargo space.

What toy hauler brand do you have?

Thanks for the info. We were talking to my inlaws tonight. They had the same problem years ago with their motorhome. Keystone is going to have to replace the sides and the front cap, as well. That's bubbling. We thought it was the sticker, but it's actually the cap itself. My mother inlaw told me that when they got their sides replaced, they had all kinds of issues with them properly sealing the sides. AND, somehow their mattress got all wet. So, the manufacturer had to reseal the sides. I'm going to post something on rv.net. That might help get some other owners in the area that might be having this problem. The dealership already has had 3 other Raptors have the same problem recently.

whats up with men and the garage

He used to have a 40 Ford, which was featured in Hot Rod as car of the year (like late 80's/early 90's). He ended up selling it years later. Yeah, my dad and my hubby get along really well. They love to hang out, kick tires and drink beer! We're going to see them in a couple weeks and head down to Phoenix for the Sand Show. -
That's a pretty funny story. The music police!

My dog loves to smell his own paws after he scratched his ears and then lick them! Gross!!!

Here is a pic. Most of the people that are running these will not go back to anything else. They are also very light.

Since we are without toy hauler until it gets fixed , we are staying wherever our friends end up. We'll be all homeless and ghetto this time! Last time we were at bathroom #6, which was pretty cool. Not too far from vendor row either. We'll be there Saturday & Sunday fo sho!

Nice rail, great pics!

A lot of the manufacturers are making the TH's in a smaller size. Our friend got a 24 ft Jayco Octane. It's really nice and feels really open inside. He looked at several other TH's. He used to pull it with a F150 gasser, but switched to a diesel a few months later. The WW is nice, too. Just do your research. If you go to rv.net, they have all the manufacturers listed. When we got our Raptor, I looked at all the manufacturers and the options. You'll be amazed at what's out there! Don't rely on the dealerships knowing everything about their product. There were some that really impressed me and other salespeople who didn't have a clue about their products! Happy Shopping!

Keystone supposedly has a new fiberglass product that they're using that doesn't have the criss crosses, it really smooth. My concern is that we'll get it fixed and what happens if the new siding has the same issues? Cal's has had 3 Raptors in addition to ours that have had the same issues. And it's not like the thing was cheap either! We debated over the Weekend Warrior and the Raptor. Our decision was made over the dealerships because both products were nice. Just hope the dealership works with us to get this fixed ASAP!

I think Mark paid $90 for a full truckload at Tom's Firewood (he has a short bed Dodge Ram). He still has half of it stacked on a pallet in our side yard. I'll have to check out that place ynot mentioned. It's much closer to us!
-
That is so tragic! You never know what's going to happen. I don't go to Glamis, so we don't usually deal with railroad tracks. However, that's pretty scary in general about the double track. I always watch and wait for the trains to pass. It appears these kids just didn't see the train coming. How sad for their families!

whats up with men and the garage

My dad collects old cars, so I never parked in a garage (much less a driveway) until I was out of college! Back when my parents lived in OC, my dad parked 5 cars in a 3 car garage and had 3 in the driveway. We used to get all kinds of hate mail from the association , but they lived in that house for 19 years!!! When they moved to AZ, they built a custom home with an 11 car garage underneath and a 2 car garage for their normal cars! My poor mom didn't park in a garage until then!!! Here are some pics of my dad's garage. If you look real closely, you can see my first car, a 67 Cougar. My dad's first car is the 32 Ford parked at the front of his garage and the one he's backing up his crazy driveway!!! -
Yeah, we're pretty bummed, esp since it's dune season. I wish we noticed this back in August. It really didn't start showing until October and now it's gotten way worse! Thanks for the info on the tires. I'll have the dealership check this out. At least they agreed with me about how bad the siding looks and how the manufacturer needs to fix it. I haven't been to rv.net in a long time. I'll do some surfing over there too!
-
Don't say that!!! I'm really bummed about this, but at least it happened while it was under warranty.
-
Thanks! We looked at those on Saturday.

Problem with that is that our year is up in January. Plus, we dropped off the rig yesterday. It was the only day we could do it within the next couple weeks. We sacraficed a riding day to do it! Someone else had the same issue on the same unit. They said it took about a month to fix. We'll see.

My hubby took me to Extreme Motorsports yesterday to check out Rhino rims and tires. I really like the chrome wheels - they look hot!!! However, we can't decide what set up to use. Do we go with the 2" wheel spacers for now and use the stock tires in regular terrain and a smoothie/paddle set up for the dunes? Do we get the 14" wheels with the 26" tires with the 2/5 or 5/2 set up to give us extra width? Do we go with the 12" tires and 25" wheels? We have about a month to figure this out until the Rhino comes in.

For Thanksgiving we are going to a great feast and & be until we feel :angry2: Then, we're going to watch some Thanksgiving Specials on TV. Then, and eat pie and :chug: After that we'll send some letters to Santa at and :chug: to Dumont to

Hey guys! Thanks for letting me and the hubby join in on your fun last Thursday! We had a great time. Mark loved talking about the Rhino set up, although he's still not sure what tires he's going to use. And he even joined DDR as Blue Steel! We'll be at Dumont on Saturday & Sunday Thanksgiving weekend sans the toyhauler since we had to drop it off to get the sides fixed! We're going to try and get our friends to do the meet and greet at the South Pole! Thanks again! Happy Turkey Day!

Yeah, I asked them if they could provide a loaner (used) rv to us, while ours was at the factory. They said no, but if it gets close to New Years or better yet, President's Day, the pressure will be ON!!! :Imma_throwup:

We took our rig out for Halloween and noticed the warp problem was worse. Contacted the dealer and went to storage to take pictures. When I brought the pics in on a CD today, the service dept was amazed at how bad it was - said it's the worst they've seen yet. So, they said it would most likely go to Oregon, which is better than Indiana. So, hopefully they can get it fixed quickly. :beer_bang:
