What kills me most about this issue is that these celebs and politicians have these BIG houses/mansions that use up all this energy. Gee, if they were really about conserving energy, then live in a smaller home. Who cares if you buy a hybrid vehicle and changed your light bulbs to energy efficient if you have a 20,000 sq ft house!!! Personally, I don't care how much energy you're using if you're paying for it! We changed out all our light bulbs a while ago. We do change them less, but we still had a $600 NV Power bill this summer! It was probably the fridge in the garage at 110 degrees!!! But, the beer is cool!

Yeah, it was something like that. We've not taken fireworks in California. We just got some a couple years ago for 4th of July (we bought them in May). I see illegal fireworks all the time in Dumont. If it's such a crime, then why aren't the sherriff's doing anything about it? On Halloween some people were doing roman candles (or something that flew vertically and then horizontally) towards the campsites. I couldn't see over the finger dunes if they had the sherriffs pay them a visit, but it was definitely a hazard.

We paid $3.45 for diesel last night! Ouch! I thought diesel was supposed to be cheaper than premium??? What do I know??? :dance:

I think we purchased from Phantom Fireworks. They made us fill out some form like a license or something. We didn't have an issue with them, since we have a homeowners association and we don't light them off at our house (we'd prefer to do this at our friend's houses - LOL)! Anyway, they had some buy one get one free deal. Much better than that other place on the way to Utah. :fro_smokin:

Our dogs are so spoiled! They usually have full run of the trailer. But if we go for a long ride or have people over, we'll put them in their kennels. They're almost always inside, unless they have to go potty or get fresh air. Plus, they hate the fireworks! Here are some pics of them living the good life, when we went to Utah this summer...

Buy one of those turkey rolls at Costco and heat it up in the oven or microwave! Costco has cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pies, too!!! You can tell I'm not much of a cook! If you deep fry the turkey, be very careful!!! :dance:

Very cool. I like the signs! I used to be on our HOA board and we put up 14 MPH signs in our neighborhood. Everyone asks, why 14 MPH? And our response is... You noticed it, right??? :dance:

Yeah, I know! We can't go to Dumont for Thanksgiving weekend anyway. We might go out there for the day on Saturday of that weekend. We have some friends that'll be out there, but my hubby has to work. Hopefully, we can go on New Years! Thanks!!!

Just made a deposit on a new 2008 Rhino in blue. Should be in around Christmas! Meryy Christmas to us!!! My in-laws got one to match! Then, they had to get a trailer to tow it with their 5th wheel - glad we have the toy hauler!!! Woo-hoo!!!

What are the best overall tires to use for Rhinos? We are usually in the sand, but we do some trail riding in Utah and other places. We don't have a Rhino - yet - but we're looking into our options! Thanks a bunch!!!

One of my favorite restaurants is Olives at the Bellagio. If you call in advance, you can get a table outside and watch the water show. It's awesome! Dinner there can be pricey, but my husband and I have gone and ordered drinks and appetizers. Lunch is a little cheaper, too. With the weather being so nice, it would be great to sit outside. Mandalay Bay is another hotel I love to visit. The restaurants there are great! Sometimes they have concerts on the beach. Might be something to check into, as well. :shocked2:

I like the idea of the pooper dumper. We always have tons of fresh water. However, my in-laws had a leak and ended up running out of water on Halloween weekend. Water would be great, too!!!

That's crazy! I hope the injured heal fast. That was definitely not a Happy Meal!!!
