That's cool! If that's what people were giving out, then my hubby would go trick or treating!!!
-
I agree about the music. I don't know why the music is always head banger! It would be cool to have something more fun mixed in with the sound of the rails and quads.
-
Hey - I started the original topic in DDR Gear! Very cool that something is coming of it!!! Halloween weekend would be really fun. We'll be there Thursday October 26th - Monday October 29th. We don't have a rail, but we have really nice quads! Comp Hill would be fun to see on film. My husband and his friends love to race up the big dunes on the left and Comp. Here's a pic I took of him on his old quad last year....

Thos people are nuts! I loved how the person on the sandboard went a whole 2 feet in the sand - what a dork! We were out at the dry lake beds lat year (north of Jean). We noticed a bunch of nails were scattered near this small dirt pile - probably some conservationalists - stupid because it's the kids that play in that area!

This will be our 1st trip to Dumont for Halloween weekend. What does everyone do for Halloween? I heard that the kids go trick or treating. Does anyone decorate special for Halloween? My husband and I always decorate our garage for Halloween and make it into a haunt. He isn't really hip on the idea of decorating the rig, but I thought it would be fun to string some lights and put out a few decorations! Maybe I'll even wear my black wig!!! LOL!!!

My hubby and I went down to run our gen recently and noticed our rig's fiberglass siding is no longer smooth down the sides. You can see where the fiberglass is wavy or buckled around the aluminum frame. I'm not sure if this is normal and happened when it was 115 degrees here in Vegas. We store it in at an expensive place where 3 sides are covered and the one side that is exposed faces east, so it only gets a little morning sun. It's a new Raptor we bought in January. We haven't taken it in yet, but will before the warranty is up.

Kind of like when my hubby got a $50 no helmet ticket riding a 50cc quad 2 mph INSIDE our camp, while all these rails and quads are flying by close to our camp! Now we won't even unload our quads out of the toy hauler w/o a helmet! And then we see all kinds of idiots riding around with no helmet and doubles!
-
I agree with you 100%. We see all kinds of idiots out in Dumont, esp on busy weekends. Punish the morons, not the masses!!!

#1... What this person did was DISGUSTING!!! #2... I love the excuses, like someone could have accidentally dumped their black tank - NOT LIKELY! #3... After reading just a few pages of the thread on Hot Boat's forum, all I have to say is that I'm NOT at all impressed with these people and their backlash. Some of them are looking for a brawl with the original poster. If I were the owner of Wired For Sound, I'd be calling around to see what buddy of mine went to Dumont and did this. I'm sure he's being defensive, but his reaction makes me think.... I'll never buy anything from his company!!! :angry2:

We bought our Raptor from Cal's 3 months ago and I have nothing but great things to say about their service department so far. We had a few warranty items to be fixed (nothing major). We dropped it off for a couple weeks, they fixed what they could and ordered the parts. We picked up the trailer from them to go to Dumont for the weekend and then took it back. They had the parts in and the trailer fixed within a week. We got a great price on our rig, too. Better than anyone from out of town. We were told that because we got our rig from them, if our trailer comes in at the same time as another and the other one wasn't bought from them, then ours would be put ahead of the other. Who have you spoke with at Cal's in the service dept?

That's friggin funny! I was just showing my hubby and Robojoe the thread I started. I laughed when I saw your post! They did, too! Perfect timing!!! My hubby is putting Houser a-arms on my bike right now and I'm getting a new rear axle, too!
-
My fav is the Asian Zing sauce and a tall Blue Moon!!!
-
LOL! That's kind of funny! How did you get kicked out???
-
Yeah, for the price we pay, it should be for free!!! It's on the "honor system" so I paid once, just to be nice.
-
What upgrades, ideas have you done to make "toy haulin" simpler.

Duck tape for sure!!! We were out at the dry lake beds one day and these kids came over and asked us if we had duck tape and cardboard. Their friend broke his arm (like all the way through) and they were trying to stabilize his arm, while they waited for the paramedics! Scary! We had both!!! -
We're looking at going to Coral Pink in April. How long does it take to get from Las Vegas? And, is the south route through Colorado City and Kanab the best route? I am sure it is, but hubby thinks it might be better to go through Cedar City! And, what do you think of the riding out there??? I love that area! We've been to Zion a bunch of times and gone hiking!
-
Where do you guys meet? At the fairly new PT's off Horizon & Horizon Ridge??? That's right by my house. We go to that Buffalo Wild Wings a lot.
-
Thanks for the info!!
-
Thanks! We're pretty excited about them!
-
Thanks for the info. My husband has been afraid to fill up with water at Valero, only because what if they were out of water??? Has this ever happened??? I guess we don't want to chance it. So far, we've filled up at home. Hopefully, it won't affect our water bill too badly!!
-
When we've gone to Dumont, we've dumped at Valero in Baker. $15 is crazy!!! If we wanted to dump at Cal's Boat & RV, it would be free b/c that's where we got our Raptor. Our storage place lets us dump for $5 on the honor system. I think you can dump at Wheeler's for $5, but I haven't gone there yet.

I have a Honda 450, nice bike. We added an HMF exhaust to it and it really moves. My husband just picked up a YFZ 450 Special Edition. It rides really nice, too. It feels lower than the Honda, but that's because of the plastics. Both are great bikes and are worth the money. If you're going to a dealership, do your homework ahead of time. We never pay full price for a new bike. I think we went online and got a price for my Honda that the dealership on Boulder Hwy matched. We went to Parker Yamaha to get my hubby's quad and his last one, too. Well worth the trip!!! Good luck!!
-
We went to Parker, AZ this weekend and picked up my hubby's new white YFZ 450 Special Edition. Robojoe came along and got one, as well (in black). Here are some pics Robojoe took at our house and the dry lake bed. My Honda is in a couple pics, too cuz it's super cool!!! Next is his new exhaust, nerf bars and skid plate - I'm sure he's ordered a bunch of other stuff, too!!
-
Sorry... didn't make it, but thanks a lot for cleaning it up for everyone!!! We went to Parker, AZ instead to pick up my hubby's new quad. :chev_bowtie: :mc_smiley:

That's a lot of room for Cargo. I don't know if that's a good deal or not. We bought our TH new this year. Did you go to the For Sale section here to see if they have anything comparable?? :dunce:
