  1. LOL there is not much duner about the duner class
  2. Call Haycock Petroleum 702-382-1620 they are located by Nelis AFB here in Las Vegas, that is where I get my VP. I take it you are running FSA, if so what class, that will determine the fuel you can run.
  3. LOL Pete a little more Ghetto Fab, how about an old ski rope, just leave a short section with the handle and tie it to the front for bolts lol
  4. If I were him I would just drop the motor, 4 bolts and your done (for the most part).
  5. OK just called him again giving all kinds of options (need all the 70's we can get there) and he is dropping the motor tonight and taping it. I told him worse can, a little redneck engineering for a weekend, 1211 the manifold and the bad bolt in (since it still screws in a little), not a great way to go about it, but it will get it out there for the weekend.
  6. I said the same thing, he has a $250 tap and die set, but is claiming he does not have the time this week. He is coming either way, so I will see what I can con him into doing.
  7. Thank you Mr. President! The great thing is you post a question and people just jump in to help and that is what I love about this site
  8. My buddy just stripped the bolt hole that holds the manifold to the head, we want to get his bike running for the Regatta and was wondering if someone had a head for sale or could use for the weekend?
  9. I took that thing off so many times, I think I got myself confused also lol, I really have not pulled many carbs with a butterfly apart, then with all the bouncing around working on the little bike, I had to pull it off again to confirm. Yeah that pilot jet was so clogged I could not see through it, I cleaned it before, but must not have made sure I could see through it. REGATTA HERE WE COME!!!
  10. No sweat, I am all for promoting this one. I can not wait to get these out there, I would like to get everyone parked and get on top of a toyhauler and take a pic of everyone's biket there.
  11. To bad we don't have a bunch of old 70 tires to use, seems kind of fitting (I have 2 old ones), I am pretty sure we can bring out about 5 cones and more if we come by them. I can also bring a couple folding tables if needed.
  12. And where are you all day? I got you a job fool so bow down and pay respect lol Besides you better just make the day trip and bring your new little toy. Well took the carb apart for the 3rd time and cleaned it all again, also found that the pilot get was clogged. I had another one in my rebuild kit but it is a threaded one and the original was a press in. I did a little redneck engineering and made it work. Took it down the street and it ran like S&@T, reached down and turned the choke off and it actually ran and ran GREAT with the choke off. Thanks for all those that helped, it is greatly appreciated (accept for Kristin). Oh also got a new pair of shoes for the old girl And the old tank and the replacement (to be repainted later) :angry2: :angry2:
  13. OK sorry guys yes back to the original problem, I pulled the carb off and yes choke is on when up and it only runs in the up position. I also just tried to run it with my figers blocking half the about 3/4 of the intake and still would not run with the choke off. I left the choke on and tried to ride it and it just dies, pulled the petcock (Pete's favorite word) off and it would pass fuel. I am going to put the previous jet back in and try it again (before rebuild) and try it again, but I know I had this same problem before I ever changed it. I will post the results, sorry for the delay, wife got back in town and wanted to spend time together.
  14. How about taking them to Mt Charleston's old lodge for lunch, Great view and decent food.
  15. Yes sir I tried the carb spray on the manifold but it did not change the idle at all. Spent the remaining time working on my other tank so I can take the POS one off and use this other one for the trip.

  17. lol yeah even verified when i had the carb off that the butterfly was open when up.
  18. Just thought I would share this with you all, a couple of places that I have had good luck with and good prices. www.ncyyamaha.com www.powersportsuperstore.com/default.asp
  19. I will try the carb spray, I did seal them both fresh last night but I could have done something wrong, thanks for the tip Pete. Cool thing is that it runs good with the choke on atleast and fires up fast, so even if I don't get it fixed in time, it will still run and be there. I appreciate all the tips guys, keep them coming, I would rather go home with a list then one at a time, so I appreciate it.
  20. I tore the whole carb down and replaced all the oring, replaced the jets and scrubed everything down with carb cleaner and a tooth brush, this got it to start. I also removed the manafold and cleaned it and used threebond 1211 to seal it both motor side and carb side of the manifold. I found the gaskets last night, so I can clean off the 1211 if needed and put them in but seems like the 1211 should seal it. I also tried to up the idle with the choke on then turn it off and it runs for a second then dies. I thought about trying the low speed air screw but have not yet. I will give you suggestion of blocking part of the intake off tonight. The goofy little thing actually runs really well for 26 years old with the choke on, runs like it should with the choke off lol
  21. Tore apart the carb, cleaned it and replaced all the orings but still will only run with the choke on. I tried upping the idle but this did not help. I am thinking a bigger jet?
  22. I need 2 (qty) extra large shirts, I have possibly two more people but I will confirm before I list them for a shirt.
  23. Craig if you really want to sell it, shoot me a PM or give me a call, I know my buddy wants another one.
