mineurbiz replied to Richard Cheese's topic in Truck, Jeep, & Car talk
Yeah I have talked to a tow truck driver and he tows in more new fords then dodge or chevy. Beside who wants to set their yard on fire with their "new" ford BBQ oops I mean power plant. -

This should have been beyond simple, but they have it and they know the ECU is bad, they are just waiting for the OK to fix it. I was not worried about putting the stock parts on, since it did not get run with any of them on. I have done all this same stuff to my fiance's bike and it ran no issues.
-
I called Haycock and they said no deal, they do not get charged for the 5 gallon pails so they do not charge the customer and so they do not give a credit.

Yeah we rode the night before and it was fine, the next day we put on his pipes and filter, he did not have his programmer yet. He wanted to hear his pipes real quick and when he went to start it, the would crank but not start. We noticed that when you turn the key on rather that turning on all the dash lights like normal it just light the neutral light. Checked power at the fuel rail, injector and throttle body and nothing. We took it in and they are saying that it is the computer, when asked how this could have went out, they said "you could have bumped something". The guy seems pretty cool but he is not sure that Yamaha will cover it.
-
That sounds like a cool idea, mini VP BBQ's, time for me to get sued lol JK. BUt it would be cool
-
What do you do with them? I might take you up on that. I tought about that, but I acutally use these 5 gallon plastic jugs that had veg oil in them, easy to see when they are getting full.
-
My buddy has his 07 Raptor 700 (3 weeks old) in the dealership because it would not start. They tested it and said that the computer went out (the ECU) I take it and they do not know if Yamaha is going to cover it, for some reason. My question is, if they do not cover it and he has to buy one, does anyone know someone that can get these for a good price?
-
Ok so as you can read from the post, I have about 6 empty 5 gallon cans, but not sure what to do with them?
-
Congrats Kayla, but it should have been a Chevy!!!

I know what you mean, when we go to dinner, we base the tip on the service that we receive. If they give us good service they usually get 20% if the give us ok service they get 10 or 15% depending. I have tipped less for being ignored and nothing at all for crappy service.

We got stuck going to armacraphole thanks to my buddies crappy Dodge tranny. His truck was acting up and did we did not want to risk him taking the grades back and forth so we played it safe.

Dyno'ed The YFZ501 at PowerHouse today
mineurbiz replied to Sand_YFZ's topic in ATV / Motorcycle Talk
Hargrove showed me how you can change the settings on a Dyno that will effect the outcome of the run such as standard, smoothing and so on. I am not sure how SAE and standard are different, but the standard readings are always higher. On KENZ dyno there was atleast a 2HP diff with my 470 kit when it came to SAE vs standard. He could not get the cable to read, so he took it off and had to try to setup the drum (I think is what he said), either way it was cool to hang with him, cool guy. Thanks to Dan for letting us distract him for a bit. -

Yes we did I had a fun time trying to get the scanner to work so that I could put it up here, but you will have to ask Dan on how accurate it was, seems someone broke his cable for him so he had a fun time setting it up by the drum. If it is accurate, I like how fast it hits peak Torque, which seems to be around 46 - 47 and it looks like a smooth curve. Here is my Kenz Dyno, I want to see if Mark Hargrove can pull my standard one and compare the two Dyno's. I wonder if I go to a 43 FCR, sparks BC and a FCI what it would do. -

Now why are you picking on a little ole 450? -
No doubt, I would love to hear about a weekend where nobody got hurt, or atleast nothing more than some bumps and bruises.
