  1. The pics will come shortly.. It is 99% done. Having an issue with the cables from the transmission right now. Swapped out a C4 to an AOD and the pressures aren't correct and the cables might be the culprit. All that is left is an alignment and back to paint to fix some minor blems then its MINE! Been over 2 years since we began this project and I can't wait to take it out and see what it can do. Brice- I will get that shirt out in the mail soon. Along with a mystery gift as well. Thanks again to eveyone that gave a suggestion. Sux that alot were taken that were also very good but I am happy with the one I got. Now I have to wait 6-8 weeks to arrive.
  2. We got a winner!!!!!!!!!! well kinda, I took a suggestion but it was taken but I tweaked it a bit and got one that was available. The winning suggestion was sent in by--- Sandseeker. I took- NSTY65 and changed it to NSTY6T5 (since NSTY65 was taken) Thanks Brice!! PM me your shirt size and address, I will send you out some Border Patrol goodies.

  4. Pete- That's some funny chit. I need to be able to explain that on the application form. I think it would be denied. Funny none the less!!
  5. I am almost done with my 65 Mustang. I am bringing it out of retirement and want to drive it again. I want a new plate for it and am running out of ideas. I don't want to give up too many details about the car till it is done and I will post up the finished pictures then. But it's a 65 coupe, blue in color. The motor is a 347 stroker. Ok... lets see what you can come up with for me. If the plate is available ( in California) and I choose it I will send off the winner a cool Border Patrol goodie bag. Thanks Tim

  7. The big guys were hitting the 120's. This track is 1/8th mile.
  8. Me and my father headed up to watch the races at Barona today. I was able to get right up on the k-rail and take a few shots. It was pretty cool being just a few feet from them when they launched. Tried messing with the settings on the camera but went back to action mode and that seemed to be the better choice.
  9. I was told the people that were to stay home without pay might be paid for the days they missed work. Kind of a paid vacation but still a gamble none the less if that doesnt pan out like that. Also any planned leave has been cancelled. We have guys with paid plane tickets/hotel rooms. And they have been told to cancel them or to take leave without pay during this time.
  10. We are safe as far as not loosing our job. BUT we are being told to come to work and NO PAY!!! Yes we will get the back pay but until then, we will continue to work as usual and not collect a check until they pass the budget. On top of that it will be one lump sum that will put us in a higher tax bracket for that pay period and we will get taxed at a higher rate. I will be going into my online employee pay site and switch my exemptions around to take a less hit when this happens. All front office staff except for one is being told to stay home as well as the maintenance garage. This is going to get bad real fast.
  11. It will effect me. Work with no pay as I am an essential employee!
  12. You can't mess with mother nature! That is some crazy stuff right there. Many people had no chance at all.
  13. My thought as to why it would stop there is, Victorville is at the top of the pass. Maybe they don't want that thing hauling butt downhill.
  14. I like how they showed his plate in the video. Now I can run it can see where he lives.
  15. Winter is over turn the knob from red over to blue.
  16. Think I am going to pass on this trip. Weather has me a little worried. Too far to drive for a "maybe" weekend. Plus alot of my regulars I hang out with won't be there so I am just not feeling it this time. Glamis in a month!!!
  17. I still am planning on going. Just hate to be there in the rain. Although Saturday seems like the only bad day. Weather site says 12 hours of rain.
  18. Just wondering if people are still heading out with this rain coming. I don't feel like driving 300 miles one way to sit in my motorhome. I can do that in my driveway!!!
  19. Terry- I am coming up for Presidents and they are on my way up. Let me know.
  20. For $750 you can get some nice heads. VW's are very easy to work on. Do you know what caused the failure in the first place? You can probably get away with some mild heads that are ported and polished and still be way under budget. Replacing both heads can be done easily in a few hours. Been a few years since I had a VW motor but I have built a few in my days and are a very simple motor to deal with.
  21. Where at in SoCal. My brother in law works in that industry and can send you the right way.
  22. Security on duty sign! Gotta protect the stolen stuff from the theives.
  23. Turn about is fair play right? Didn't that car have a brand new turbo, digital dash, bypass shocks and many other high dollar parts.......just saying
  24. I need a good 110 gas tank, carb and throttle cable complete assembly.
  25. Very true. I put my dog down about 6 months ago or so. If he was still here I don't think they would have attemped it. We have a puppy now and I am sure he licked them up and down while they were here.
