SandBurro- Good advice and thanks. I do have a sign in the front yard and it has a solar light to keep it illuminated at night. The system will even tell me what sensor was tripped so I know where to look immediately. Slept pretty good last night but only for 5 hours till I had to bet back up for work. I have thought about monitors for the house but I am not sure if it is needed. Seems like it was a tweeker or 2 just looking for a quick $. Still checking craigslist but no luck on anything as of yet.

Thanks for all the input. I am having a system put in tonight. It has the cell monitoring instead of landline and a siren that will activate. Comes with motion sensor, door sensors, 4 remotes to turn on and off and window sensors. $45 a month. I hope I can sleep better after the installation. Had to take today off because I was so distracted with what happened and had to deal with a police report and insurance claims.

My house was broken into today. Seems like a snatch and grab or they were methodical in whathey wanted to get. Only certain items were taken and others left alone. All items that I can see that were taken were small things that can travel easily on foot. I now want a security system in my house! Which system are you guys using and what should I look for in a system? It sucks knowing that someone was in my house when I wasn't there. I feel so violated! I think I might have come home and they ran out the back and jumped the wall. I found a bag of chips on the floor and we have a new puppy and he didn't tear into it yet. They also took all the cold pepsi's and water out of the fridge!!!!!!! I think tweekers were to blame, but now they know what I have in my house so I want to be protected. I am checking craigslist also for the stolen items. Thanks for the input in advance.

It was my router. The kids are watching netflix as I type this message. Thanks for all the tech help. Wound up with a Netgear N150. It was only $40 and seems to do all I will ever need it to do.

I have dealt with Lisa here in San Diego. She got me a lisence plate for my golf cart to make it street legal. Her trick is she doesn't go to your everyday DMV. She goes to a dealers only DMV and get it done there. That place is only 5 miles from my house but not any joe off the street can go in there. Her price is a bit high but in the end you will get what your after and I would recommend her as well.

Damn David that sucks. Hopefully she is just hiding out with a friend at their house and will return home soon.

Pete- Has the BLM considered making a small bridge in the areas that washout? Just some tubes in the ground and ramp over them to avoid this in the future? Doesn't need to be a bride per say, just some way for water to pass under instead of driving thru it.

Which router Nick?

I am trying to get the signal throught 2 walls basically. But these wall are are not full walls, they have doors and the other is a half wall not going fully across the room. I suspect the router as well because my internet is pretty fast and I have not had any issues there. I am not sure if the Wii has anything I can do to it. I only use the router for the Wii and not my computer. Thanks for the info, just hate to buy a router if its something simple that I can fix.

My Wii did all its upgrades it needed when it found the router. And I have Cox for my high speed internet. Hmmmm the computer isn't involved in this is it? Does it just pull the info from the router or does it go to the computer then to my Wii? Thanks for the help so far.

I know we have a few computer internet guru's on here--- I have a router already for my Wii. It's a Linksys but I believe its an older model. My current router works ok then it will pause to buffer more of the movie then continue. The pause can take a few minutes which spoils watching the movie. Is anyone else doing this and if so what router are you using? It will be only used to stream movies to my Wii from the internet via Netflix. Thanks

That's what I used to make the Thanksgiving video. I have Windows 7 and used Movie Maker. Worked with the HD version of GoPro no problem.

I am down for a trip there. Lets start planning it so we can make it happen. Seems like it would need to be atleast a week vacation for me if not longer due to driving times.

Can you post a picture? Not sure what you mean by "pass thru bolt" I know VW's are weak around the #3 jug due to cooling concerns. I believe if it is a Brazillian case it is going to be magnesium. It should still be salvageable depending on the size of hole but I am not sure on the proceedures on plugging a magnesium case.

I have all the tools needed for this. If you want to come down on a weekend we can knock this out together. I am in San Diego. Mike330R is about 20 minutes from me. He is a great guy and does good work. BTW- I will be going to Gordons Well this weekend so anytime after that should be ok.
