  1. Well he is 17, so IF this is the guy then lets see if the government tries him as an adult. Good news if its the truth and he wasn't a throw down to take the blame.
  2. I would hope they are already there by Friday. Since Sunday is the end of the Holiday weekend. Getting people to stand still is no big deal, I just would like to try a group photo regardless if everyone is looking or just chatting away. I bet we could get alot more than 200 there.
  3. I think I will be on the road headed home by the time the meet and greet is under way. So i was thinking..... We should have a big group photo of DDR. The South Pole is a great spot for the camera people to get up on the rocks and shoot a few pics of everyone. Maybe we could get all the rails in one spot and have all the sxs, motorcycles and quads filtered around them or something like that. Does this sound like a doo-able idea? And hows 2pm Friday for everyone?
  4. David- I am sorry to hear about your friend. Although I am not a religious person, I hope Dallas make a speedy and full recovery. I do belive in the power of talking to a person and just being there. Although he is in a coma his body is still functioning and his brain might be able to hear those that love him and give him that extra drive to pull through this. If I can help out in any way just let me know. Tim
  5. 300 miles one way for me. But well worth the extra time to get there...
  6. I wish they were standard equipment on our cars. It has saved a few frontends many times by being able to tell the other cars whats ahead. Plus its fun to talk crap while riding. With the button on the steering wheel it takes no effort and your not distracted while driving looking for the button. Also with the ipod hooked up you can jam your music when no one is talking
  7. I have one in my car and its has saved my butt at Glamis. Got a flat tire and no one in my group was around. Was able to reach them by radio and had them bring me my rock tires to get out of there. Definately a good investment, both for entertainment and safety.
  8. I heard they had 1000 passes set aside for the general public this year. And in doing so a few of the major sponsors pulled out.
  9. It's very simple as others have said. Disconnect the throttle cable and any other wires that connect the engine to the car. Put a floor jack under the motor for support. Grab a 17mm wrench and disconnect the 4 bolts that hold the motor to the transmission. If the rear cage is in the way you will have to remove that then walk to motor away from the transmission. Hopefully you don't need to remove the exhaust either. Once the transmission is clear of the motor drop the engine lower to the ground and begin to remove the clutch. About 6 or 8, 13mm bolts hold the clutch on. Take out the bolts and the cluch is off followed by the cluch disc. Inspect the flywheel for burns or heat checks and if all looks good I always use a diegrinder with an abrasive pad and rough up the flexplate where the disc meets the flexplate. This removes the glazing and aids in helping the clutch grip a little better. Install your new clutch and make sure you use a clutch alignment tool. Then just do it all in reverse. Assuming you have a rear-engine car this whole project should not take more than 3 hours alone or 2 hours with a buddy.
  10. I got an opportunity to go this year with my friend Ernie that owns Hard Core Muscle here in San Diego. He brought 2 cars. One is a 2010 Mustang GT that Hot Wheels Corp. wanted him to build for them. And the other was a 2010 Camaro. We got into town at about 2am Tuesday morning due to the fact that they decided to bring the Camaro at the last second and it wasn't finished yet. We were the last car to get into the show and set up. I got to my hotel at 5am and got to bed at 6, I was effen TIRED!!! We slept all day Tuesday and didn't even go over to SEMA at all. I got a text from Jim (Sand-Snake) asking if I wanted to go to SEMA after hours and take some pictures. HELL YEAH!! So Jim picks me up at the Palazzo and we head over to SEMA and meet with Nick (ISBB). Jim calls his girlfriend Kristen (foxysandchick) and we all hop into a golf cart and take the tour of the entire show. It's amazing how big this event is. We stop every so often and take pictures and look at cars then move on to another place and do this for a couple hours. A big thanks :worthless_without_pics: to Jim and Kristen for letting me run around and take pictures when the event was not full of people. Some of these cars were absolutely beautiful and the camera doesn't do any justice to the work people have put into them. Here are the Pictures----- Here is the car we brought and the NGK Sparkplug models TWINS!! Dennis Gage talking to Barry Maguire Sweet Fastback Mustang Old School Bigfoot's GAS Motorsports was building this mustang during SEMA This Mustang was made of Carbon Fiber ( I think 1 of 10 made)
  11. I like that flower picture. I noticed on the bottom left of the flower that it looks like a monkey jumping from a branch or something.
  12. I was at my Aunts house for Halloween with my family. I noticed she had a hummingbird feeder and a few hummingbirds were flying around. I grabbed my camera to see if the shutter speed was fast enough to freeze a hummingbird in flight-
  13. Was I halfway correct? Trying to remember when I wired my rail about 8 years ago.
  14. The B+ is the hot wire from the battery if I remember correctly. Thus allowing the generator to charge the battery. The other wire is wired to the ignition and and idiot light. The alternator won't charge until it feels a current draw. Thats why the idiot light is there. The light goes on when the ignition switch is turned on then after it is started the light will go off and allow the generator to do it's job. An Led light will not work for this task you need a regular light to draw enough current to trip the alternator into charge mode. I will see if I can find the wiring schematics for this but it's very simple to do.
  15. put a whip on that thing and tell him to pound sand!
  16. Another old trick but not related to your problem is putting ATF in your fuel tank. The ATF is a cleaner lubricant and cleans your fuel injectors. If you have a large tank you can do a whole quart. On a smaller tank try half a quart. This is best to do on a day you will be using the whole tank of gas because if for some reason you put too much in the tank it will cause smoke at the tail pipe so you will only have that problem that day. I have done this as well as other family members and they have noticed 2-4 mpg improvements.
  17. I am suspecting that light might be the problem. I am lookng into seeing how much that part is and if its cheap I will buy one and see if that fixes the problem. I too thought you need atleast 14 volts for a charge. But since day one of me owning this motorhome that light has never come on. I just dealt with the generator or the alternator charging them. But it would be nice if the solar worked properly too.
  18. Yes, I have a single battery to start the motorhome and 2 6 volts to run the lights and start the motorhome if needed via a toggle switch I hold down to transfer power. If I turn the switch off I lose all power to the motorhome. I am assuming this is for long term storage as to not drain the batteries. And the 21 volt reading I was getting was at the solar panel itself, somewhere along the lines it is being regulated down to 12-13 volts and I just cant find that yet. I am beginning to think I am looking to much into this and just need to trace the wires from the roof and see where they are leading to. But thats kinda hard to do alone and I don't have 50 feet of wire to do continuity tests with my meter. I just checked another thing. There is a light in the air conditioning unit that has charging indicator if being used. I checked the in voltage and it was 22 volts and the out voltage was 12.2. So I found the regulator. My batteries at the current state show 12.30 volts so as it sits now it won't draw on the solar. I am going to disconnect the house batteries and jump the connectors over to the engine battery since I know it is dead and see if that triggers the solar to work. I am thinking it might have been a bad connection somewhere and with me investigating everything I just put it back together and made a better connection. Thanks for the input so far guys I appreciate it.
  19. Here are some picture's of where I think I am all wrong. Maybe the invertor in the motorhome isn't even related to the problem. it seems more like a reducer from 110 to 12 volts.
  20. No sweat. I knew what you all were getting at. We got 10.4 pounds of meth on Thursday too.
  21. That's what I was thinking, but I dont see any wires reading the same voltage as the panel anywhere near the batteries. Also wouldn't there be some sort of regulator involved to shut off the solar to keep from over charging?
  22. Ok, same problem I have since last year. I can't figure out the solar side of my charging system. I checked the solar panel and its right at 21 volts. I have checked the invertor/convertor thingy and its got 12.4 volts at the box. All fuses are good. when I hook up to house power or run the generator I have charging to my batteries. I turn off the aux switch above the door and I lose all charging to the batteries. I am on the understanding that when you turn off the aux switch thats when the solar side kicks in. I checked all the grounds that I could see and cleaned them up. If pictures would help I can take some and post them up here. Oh yeah all my GFI outlets "seem" to be working. the bathroom is the only one with a reset/test button.
  23. It was covered. And no its not easy to find. Try sitting on the freeway and watching cars go by all day. You have a split second to analize each car IF you can even see all the cars. And yes we were joking about how this was probably the smaller load and the big one just rolled right on by. Its been fun working on this detail and next week is my last week before going back to the line again.
