Tim, when the time gets near gimme a call.. I will get you directions and all that fun stuff to camp.. You are more than welcome to camp with us and we will be glad to show you guys around. We usually camp around or near bathroom 6 but i will be sure to get you directions... It will be a busy weekend for sure as thats the same weekend as the jeep jamboree and sand drags.

I was under the same impression from the woman... She told me with the moochin sister and all that things were tight but when i told her it was gonna cost 300 bucks to fix it she just told me that i would have to eat top ramen for a month and loose a trip or 2 to dumont... The desert tank make the bike really top heavy since the stock wr tank is right at 3 gallons the 3.3 shouldnt be tooo bad.. so i will be ok but ya.. New yz seat, Tank, and plastics... My plastics were long over due to be replaced especially the rad shrouds and side panels but ohh well.. I suppose while i have all the plastics off the bike i might as well do the cam swap while im in there..

too late.. i just spent my next 2 paychecks with thumpertalk this morning... realllllllly didnt want too but hey sometimes ya gotta do what you gotta do!!! New Tank, Seat, Plastics.. Bad part about the older wr/yz's is most people stopped making WR tanks and only make the YZ426 tanks now. Well if i put a new YZ tank on my bike gotta get the seat that fits, plastics to match and well ya.. what a pain in the a$$.. 300 bucks in parts @ cost.. Top ramen here i come LOL

Wife complained of excess gas fumes from the garage.. i though ahh hell its just the petcock leaking again no biggie... fiddle with the petcock and get it to stop... she keeps complaining so i say eff it drain the gas and start running my hands under the tank and go WTF... so i pull the tank off and get to lookin at it and i get to thinkin if it was the petcock how in the hell did gas run uphill.. so i start diggin a lil deeper and find a pretty darn good size crack in my tank... time to find a new tank.. or just save up some extra and do the 05 plastics conversion i have been wanting to do for a while... NO COLE i dont have enough cash to go buy a new bike and keep this one as a spare... i just gotta fix this one and keep on goin!

Dune Raider.. Its nothing personal but someone has to judge questionable content either from you, 1badwhatever, ragdoll and his million threads with one video in each thread or whatever... We are moderators for a reason, to make sure everyone on the forum is happy and that it is kept up to the expectaions of a family site dedicated to dumont dunes. Again we are not trying to single anyone out but just to let you know that EVERY thread gets read by a moderator and that EVERY thread is checked out... Anything that is out of line of our rules and guidelines gets questioned. Now you get us moderators away from the forum and all hell will break loose!!!

I have had good luck w/ the dry method.. as well as the grip it grip glue.. not the little tube thingys.. the more of a liquid glue like hobbiest's use for holding planes together... Stuff holds great.. just gotta be very very very quick with it... sets up stupid fast!

I dont ride a honda.... therefore i have no clue how long it takes to adjust valves... I do however ride a yamaha... but i still have no clue as to how long it would take to adjust the valves because i never had too.. Never any signs of my valves going out of whack. NO excessive valve noise, Starts first kick every time, power loss's are all in the 4 y/o piston.. so i dunno what to tell ya.

Funniest thing i got to see today was a girl running after her bike.. We stopped at the Dry lake bed for some photo opportunity's and the girl was getting her bike warmed up so ragdoll could ride it.. she blipped the throttle adn teh bike just took off she stood there in awe.. then realised ohh damn there goes my bike and started running after it... Was pretty hilarious.. lol

I think thumpertalk Might be making an appearance Im putting together a list of Items, and costs for the boss to decide wether or not he wants to do it.

I called up pete last night and asked him if he was ready to relax a little and have a drink.... So we met up at PT's and after having a small staff meeting for about 4 hours and 21 Gin and Tonics later and checking the clock and seeing 2am. We were both pretty :ahhhhh: It was a good time thats for sure... Staff meetings rock!

good to hear bud... I remember when my dad got rushed to emergency bypass surgery... that sucked... I get a phone call from my step mom saying hey we just took your dad to the hospital next thing i know im drivin to bakersfield to end up drinking in a queer country bar and sleepin on my good friends couch.. LOL

going to ride in nelson this weekend so ill be 1/2 way there...
