better safe than sorry Freak... you would never know w/ half of these trailers... Some WW's w/ all the options are close to 11k WITHOUT any toys water or anything in them... whos to say that your trailer mfg isnt the same way? i dont care if you prove me wrong or not hell ill even give you the 10 bucks to pay for the weight certificate -

How do you know your not overweight... because the sticker on the trailer says so... the stickers lie about thier unladed weight rating...( usually stickered for a bare minium bone stock trailer w/ noooo options add all the options up and the Unladen rating goes up ) and you will not be covered by your insurance if your towing illegaly.. .why would they insure you doing something illegal... Even if you have the endorsement it wont matter.. -

From what i have read and from what i understand Overweight is Overweight wether or not your at fault your insurance company more than likely will not cover you in case of a accident.. Thats just what i gather from reading over on GD about these discussions all the time.. The endorsement will save you a extra ticket if you do get pulled over... but your best surfire bet is to load up like you would for any normal weekend including the 4 30packs you plan on drinking in one night and hit up a scale and see if you definatley are within the weight rating.. You would be surprised how many people go ohhhhh im fine im not over weight, then they go weigh thier rig and are in disbelief because they actually are overweight... I do believe the truckstop over off Blue Diamond and the 15 has a certified scale ( someone might want to verify that ) but usually 7 bucks will give you the real truth and its a couple minutes and can be accomplished on your way to dumont -
Maybe get a ton of those DDR coin logo's and include that w/ the dune saftey booklet and a letter about FoDD and pass them out to people that enter the dunes... Since i have fridays off i would be more than happy to take a box or 4 of packets and stickers and pass them out to everyone coming into dumont along w/ the western maintenance guy on friday mid day / afternoon / evening and help the guy out by taking those w/ season pass's in one line and passing out to them and he could issue the weekend pass's and a booklet too everyone else..
