Stalteri920?? I was thinking about the cam change but if your comfortable w/ using the decomp lever like i am... All i planned on doin was the YZ time change on mine since its a wr i can rotate the cam one notch and get the same timing as you... its up to you... After watching brent and his buddy nick on thier new 450's kickin the crap outta em w/ the auto decomp and i fired up first kick it sorta changed my mind... The only thing you will gain is the autodecomp... so its just a preference thing... If you dont want to deal with the lever then do the cam swap... if you dont mind using the lever keep the same cam... BUT if you going to have it torn apart to send that stuff off i would suggest getting the head cleaned up a little w/ a little port job as well... since the thumpers make alot of power up top in the head..

Maxpower Engines does a REAL good job from what i hear... you might also want to try Kenz Cycle in Mesa, AZ as well... OR Eric Gorr at Foward Motion racing... both of those guys do good work as well.. the only problem with Gorr is he is a bit slow on his turn around time but does quality work..

I was thinkin bout goin w/ the same one Only4Strokes.. only when i run across enough cash..
-
I get it outside of Glamis.. i havent found VP at the pump here... the only race at the pump i know of is that rebel oil station and i believe its VP...
-
whatever is avalible at the pump.. which is usually VP c12 or f&l 111 i have strayed away from F&L because they were having seperation issues... so pretty much vp at the pump...

Read ME Another GOOD thread Between those 2 threads is where i have pretty much came up w/ my decision to not use the High Comp Piston..
-
12:1 is the regular compression for our motor.. and yes they still run on pump gas... allthough i mix my gas 50/50 half pump half race... i find i get a little cleaner throttle response outta it that way..
-
YES its worth it... just dont go w/ the High Compression piston.. thats all..

Elkas make some nice Rezzie shocks for the 400's Lots of stuff in the aftermarket for these things.. -
During the research i have done on my WR426 I was thinking about going w/ the oversized and high comp piston... after all the research the big bore piston was worth it but the high comp piston wasnt worth it... If i remember right our current compression is 12.somehting:1 and the high comp pistons are 13.sumtin:1... the increased compression added more stress to the crank and crank bearings and you also had to re-shim the cylinder by adding a copper base gasket or something weird like that... it wasnt worth the time effort reduced durability of the engine and the increased cost of having to run race gas...

Look at it this way... I didnt spend all this freakin money to buy a 4x4 and watch it freakin sit in the driveway or be a pavement beater ya know...

COOL... those kiddie tracks are gonna hurt someone good one of these days...

I kinda have to disagree w/ this... as i am one of those Punks that wheel's thier daily driver. There are 2 diffrent types of people... Responsible/smart and Irresponsible/Stupid.. I am one to know the limits of my truck and my driving ability... I will not take my truck somewhere i have not ridden on my bike and up some dune that i dont know whats on the other side... THat being said.. I have had 2 years of wheeling my truck thruought the small dunes of glamis and soon to be the small dunes in dumont... I dont drive above my head or the trucks ability and am a very cautious driver... YES things can break and its a risk i take but whoopdie fuggin doo its only a truck... and its only money... if i wreck my truck because my ability and or talent ran out... i just pray that im still in one piece and able to walk away.. And NO i have never been in a accident or had a ticket that counted against my record to this day. Sometimes its a necessary evil to take your daily driver duning or on a RESCUE mission to get a wounded bike or someone outta the dunes... The only time you really hear of accidents is when people have a had a few too many or are being completely stupid and dont know thier vehicle all that well... I have a suzuki samurai that i wheel as well adn you can bet your a$$ i will not take it to the top of comp in dumont... that place has a curse on suzuki's.. now out in the bowls and nice sweepers you betcha.. Sorry for the long winded post but had to make my point that not everyone is out to destroy thier daily driver..

even if your kid is 6 and you want a good bike to keep him on for a while... get a OLDER Suzuki LT80.. they are bullet proof, kid friendly, and are a bitchin camp bike after the chitlins go to bed..
-
Actually if you measure it the chevy is bigger in the rear.. I took a guy for a drive in a LB CC Duramax and the first thing this guy did was break out his tape measure... he was like its between YOU(gmc salemsan) or the Ford Dealership down the road... tapemeasure said GMC was bigger and walla i sold me a 40k truck.. and made squat on it cuz my finance office ripped my a$$ off... thats a whole other thread...

Im by far no skinny fella and i had a kawi650.. on a perfect glass lake... i was able to run 51mph on my standup... I was very happy to say the least... and i was the only one in our group who could jump the thing worth a darn too... i only managed like 5' outta a wake but for my fat a$$ that was nice.. -
its just YOUR gray water thats nasty dude... that stuff was STANKY man
-
Dumping anything other than FRESH water and that can be a pain if a ranger sees you do it... Usually if they hassled us about dumping fresh water i would walk in to the trailer grab a glass and drink some... but gray water is considered hazardous waste because of the soap and other chemicles that gets dumped down there and there is no dumping of haz waste on blm land... gotta take it to a real dump.. NOW im not saying this stops people nor has it stopped me.. I have been and am guilty of dumping my gray water inconspicously.. we usually dig a small hole crack the cap and the gray water lever and let it drip... but we dont ever just open the valve and walk away...
