Neal, i usually get a FULL day out of my phone with no problem.. all depends on how you manage it. I have learned to leave 4g off and that is the big thing. Verizon doesnt have 4g in all locations yet so when you leave the antenna on for 4g it killllls the battery while it is CONSTANTLY searching for those towers. Drop it to 3g and your golden it lasts all day. "IF" you need that speed boost you can jsut turn it back on. I use a app called Phone Info that can be found in the market that makes that a very simple task I cant say anything bad about the thunderbolt with the only exception it does not come stock with swype however swype beta which is downloadable from them works great

i will have the parts monday.. and i fixed a couple other things. I wanna run it out at the lake bed/desert real quick next weekend to make sure alll the bugs are worked out

if you just want waypoints and simple ways to back track then the one i sold terry will work just great. You just mentioned you wanted topo maps and that can be a b*tch to read on that little thing. But if your just after waypoints nad keeping tabs on where you been and where you are in case the sh*t hits the fan then that one will do the trick. Also when mounting those to your bike you either need to A get the 12v hard wired connection for your bike or pack the batteries real good so they dont bounce around. I had that on my bike once and got fed up with it turning off on me. Since you have a battery you will be good in that department. The other GPS i have is waay small but works great its the Garmin ForeTrex its wrist mounted so you just glance at it like a watch but you can still set waypoints and back track with it.

going to go thru the front end of the DS tonight tighten everything up grease everything up and pray it holds together .... I should be in some way some how hopefully.
