If your towing more than the GCWR on the sticker and get into an accident your screwed... Just because your truck can pull it doesnt mean you can do it... Most insurance companies will not cover you if your found overweight of what the truck can tow.. That being said... Im pretty sure ( dont chastise me here cuz i havent physically went and looked it up ) that the GCWR of a 3/4 ton is going to be quite a bit less than that of a 1 ton dually Just my 2 cents...

new bed, dually hubs for the rear end, and diffrent springs... HOWEVER you should have bought a dually to start with not only will you be towing ILLEGALLY *yes i know the truck is built and can tow it, but the man goes by the sticker on the truck and good luck getting that altered* It would be cheaper adn easier to just sell the current one and get what you need to get the job done right.

I have done the trail riding out there by emerald cove in my sonoma when i had it.. Sure was a fun trip.. and with their little dunes not to far up the road made for a good morning adventure before it got to hot. My season is never over with morning trips in the summer with the fellas but for the official season im pretty much done.. with the bike and samurai out of commision im just gonna chalk it up to one helluva great season and prepare for next year. Which will include more glamis trips since ill be alot closer

Im more than likely not going to make it... Samurai is havin issues i havent even had a chance to tear the 2 wheeler apart and funds are very limited so im going to end up playing it safe and staying home to work on my stuff. T-case and Trans have to come out of the samurai and i need to rewire the accessory panel and find some shorts, and i still have to strip the cooling system off the 2 wheeler and find out why it overheated on me in glamis. Hope you guys have a good weekend.. Drink a 18 pack or 2 for me

usually around bathroom 3 is where alot of the familys like to hang out. Or waaaaay off on the north west corner of the plateau where they can ride the trails and such down into the valley there..

FWIW you can get 100LL at the airport in baker or just a quick hop to barstow and get fuel there as well

IF everything is still within spec in the head.. and the cylinder was not damaged why worry? that is something you have to trust your mechanic with... Which is why i kinda like doing my own work so i can see for myself.. if i have any questions i just ask reputable engine builders.. But like bert said if it was just a rod then put the carillo kit in get a new piston and ride it I would have the mechanic make sure that the head is fine and that there was no damage there... but if he is charging you 2500 bucks something sounds fishy if its just a rod if ya know what i mean..

^^^^^ Agreed with that guy.. I hardly ever heard of valve issues on the 426's hell mine still had the originals in it when i sold mine.... However let me dig up a thread for you that is a good refrence for what you will need to do a proper top end on that bike including all the yamaha part numbers for the valves guides seats springs so on and so forth. http://www.thumpertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=520746 Give that thread a read.. its full of good info on the 426 when i was looking at rebuilding mine..

too lean however... i do know that on my old 426 it was normal for that pipe to glow red hot and discolor.. Just the way the pipe was coated or something... However i would probably richen up the jetting just a little.. Better to be a little rich than a little to lean.

you seriously didnt see the budget from last season did you... If you read that public budget you will see where our funds go... and see why it costs so much to keep the place the way it is... LEO's and EMS crews ARENT cheap. and im sure there is alot more than 5% of the duners have season pass's.. i would lay odds its more in the 20-30% region..

i enjoyed it when i watched it I had literally UP FRONT like First row seats so i could see alot of stuff So far the 2 i really liked were BlueMan Group and Stomp out loud both of those shows were good.. if you like monty python and the holy grail style humor you will enjoy spamalot
