Okay, after a long fun night at the bar with DDR until 130 in the morn, my neighbor texted me to make sure I was up to go for my early mornin ride to break in my quad's new motor I've had it back a month and haven't had a chance to break it in yet since there's been so much going on lately. I got my ramp last week, and had no problem loading my quad into my truck (yay!) So even after a night of drinkin I can drive my quad in straight lol. Good to know. After stopping at every convenience store between here and Apex for my neighbor to look for 2-stroke oil :beer_bang: I finally mentioned to my VERY hung-over neighbor that maybe we should find an Auto store instead. Apparently he was out until 5 , I thought I was hurtin till I saw him, lol. One stop at Autozone and we were finally on our way. We just went out to Apex since it's so close to my house, I'd never been there before. My neighbor had been so he showed me how to get there and where to park for the dirt/rock side and where the sandier area parking is. We did the Dirt/Rock area, rode for close to 2 hours in already 100 degree weather, and then headed home. I know it's gonna be asked, so the answer is NO, I didn't get any pics, it was too hot to even think of it, once we unloaded we just got moving so we'd stay cooler with the breeze. Next time we'll go earlier and hit the sandier area, I just wanted to break in my quad right now. It's not the dreamiest riding area, but when I need a fix I know i can drive 15-20 mins and get to it when I don't have time to go anywhere else. I'm cool with that! So summing it all up, having a quad that runs the way it's SUPPOSED TO friggin rocks Now I can really concentrate on ridin better, instead of havin to worry about my quad boggin down when I'm goin up a dune I want to thank everyone that was at the Bach Party when it ceased for helpin and letting my friends who borrowed it that weekend know what to do about it. I'm not sure who all helped, but you know who you are, so thanks so much! Suzuki took care of it and replaced EVERYTHING except the piston, which I bought. I wouldn't have had a clue to the issue if it weren't for the DDR guys that explained it to my friends. :beer_bang:

HAHAHA I forgot about that, funny stuff, but shhhhh u weren't supposed to let her know that I think it's hilarious that Cole and Whiz both thought the other would be a bigger guy... You know I came home and had to look at which way I did my bed, and the open end of the cover was facing in, lmfao, at the bar I said I thought they faced out, the most useless funny debate of the night for sure tho! :beer_bang: I had a great time and met even more DDR peeps, everyone is tons of fun, which caused me to stay out way later than planned, it was so worth it tho. I'm a trooper and still got my a$$ up to go ride this morning (I'm sure a few of u were wondering if i did , lol) I haven't been on the site much since they blocked it at work, grrr, but I still made sure to make it out to hang out. I'll have to do more Thirsty Thursdays, everyone is so much fun. :beer_bang: And that bar was better than Sierra Gold, cheaper drinks, the bartender was cool as hell even as busy as he was, he was on top of it and always smiling. Thanks for sharing that find with us Wingy and Crasher. Thanks for gettin plans and gettin everyone together again Pete Oh yeah, Randog had me goin there for a minute, I was like WTF, I don't remember seeing Randog there, am I blind? :argue: Alotta the 'observations' were right on!

My4DrGSR replied to dunefreak's topic in General Chat
That sounds great, I like O'Aces, it'll be way more affordable than Sierra Gold, they have good food too. I'm in! -
I think we're at our camp in Cinders in between , but nothing's set in stone yet. If not, I'll be at the Lake :swim:

:freakin_nuts: niiice. This was the truck I wanted 2 years ago when I ended up with the exploder since I couldn't afford the truck yet, bad idea to think an SUV would do the trick, lol. All's good now, and Foxy gave me some cool info for Taco stuff, so soon as my car sells I can get my chit all hooked up... I'll be getting ramps before we take the quad out for the break-in-the-new-motor trip. I can't wait :freakin_nuts:

running first tank of biodiesel
My4DrGSR replied to Richard Cheese's topic in Truck, Jeep, & Car talk
For what it's worth, my roommie is a mechanic in the Air Force, and she was tellin me the other day about how they tried the biodiesel for a while and it ruined everything and they stopped using it, but they still have a truck on it and she says it is always broke down for stupid little crap. My summary of her description is edited for content that is DDR friendly, Her explanations to me included a lot of cursing and motioning in irritation... Anyway, as she was telling me about her day I thought about this thread, and thought I'd share. -
At Cinder Hills, the ice really liked the beer...

POSITIVE Highlights from 2007/2008 Dune Season
My4DrGSR replied to sand chick's topic in Dumont Happenings
Hmmm so many good things, but I gotta keep it short and get my butt to workin... 1. Getting ALOT better at riding my bike, and getting over the fear I got from last season's Eff-ups 2. Meeting tons of great new people and becoming really close to some of you 3. 99 "shnozzberries" 4. "What, I'm not going anywhere, oh..." (Roost) "Still not? Well, oh well..." 5. Being the one that DIDN't get stuck on the dune... 6. First wheelie and jumps in rails, thanks OGP and Capt 7. Having the Taj Majal for Turkey Day feast, the Bowling Alley for hanging out and BS-ing, and now the Dune Bar for, well, obvious reasons, priceless... :shocked2: 8. Pauly on the 3 wheeler, jumping the fire, good times. 9. The Broken Butt Club, luv ya gals 10. Wow on 10 already, this is tough. So many good times, I don't think top ten is enough, so I'll just say, My stomach always hurts when I get home, from laughing my abs off, so thanks everyone!!! >>>>>This sums it up: <<<<< -
Hope the bus is big enough for the majority of DDR... I need a ride, I'm still laughing... Here's a trick, show someone just the article, and watch/listen to them go 'awwww, poor thing'... Then show them the DDR thread, and watch/listen to them laugh their arses off... :surrender: Really, it was even funnier that way...
-
I'm sure you've had your attitude longer than that... Oh, you meant the hauler... My Bad... :surrender:

YAY!!! I like it when you're bored and entertain us. I haven't had time to get on much lately, but I like the amusement here
