It looks more like the fresh water to me. It seems to be draining from the center and not the side where the black/grey waters empty.

Sounds like a Bad choice made by the pilot and the air traffic controller. Why would anyone guide a plane with known engine problems over homes? Sounds like a fuel issue to me. Nick is right, they should have sent him to North island to land. One approach is over water and 90% or more over water on the other. Miramar approach is all over land. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I run dual viair compressors with a 10 gallon tank mounted under the bed of my truck. I am running 5/8 ports with 5/8 valve. I am running a 200 psi system. this is also connected to my airbags with a split dual gauge in the cab. I am also running a quick disconnect next to my license plate on the rear bumber for air needs.
