  1. Very sorry to hear about your loss Stacey, I know how much he meant to you. It is always hard to hear about these accidents. Thoughts go out to all who are affected by the loss.
  2. Niiiiice!! I love it.. little Jodi hop.. big Adam air! Hahahaha! But hey at least I am on a video. I like the mix of dune runs and jump, wheelie shots!
  3. Tell the truth Adam.. I think responsible is an understatement... I think he has a touch of OCD and is a little on the retentive side, he would take better care of whomevers hauler he rented then the owners of the hauler would. Finally getting your wife to come out?
  4. So happy we were able to squeeze an off weekend in between the big ones, so that Mike's littlest was able to get out and dune. He is def a next gen duner in the making.. Justin quote of the weekend "I want a bigger quad so I can ride on the fast rides, but until I get a bigger quad Justin rides are my favorite" Some pics from the weekend..
  5. Most definately a great weekend!!! Weather was perfect. Great rides I even got in a sandcar ride Hit the jumps with Adam Campfire shananigan's with lots of laughs Nothing beats a Joe Duner led ride. Sadness at the possible loss of my tranny, but not sweating it, Mike and Adam will get her fixed up right as soon as they can. I am grateful that I have peeps who can fix her up. I have been lucky with her all the years I have had her, this has been her first break down. Slackin on the pics, been working some OT since we got back. I should be able to get some up tonight
  6. Done!! It would be sad to have my favorite summer dune spot closed. But I wonder how much they could close, isn't alot of Coral private property? Since that rancher owns most of the land?
  7. Just give her love and training.. I had a terror of a rescue dog too.. now you would never know that he was a nasty little beast. Thankfully he is little though and not 65lbs. Good for you for taking her in.
  8. Adam I got you covered for dinner on Saturday night.
  9. Thank you. In all honesty, it probably wasn't my best idea. my boots don't flex either, and some of the spots on the trail were sketchy with no traction. And I was rushing since the guys were waiting. But it was worth it.
  10. I know I know I said the last trip was well the last trip But then we found out that Mike was going back to China for most of October So we would be missing our traditional first weekend of October Dumont trip opener. So off to Coral to get one last bit of sand under our tires until his return just before the crazy Halloween weekend. And you know it has been a GREAT weekend when your throttle thumb needs a massage We had a super small camp with some of the old group, kind of like a mini reunion. Lots of laughs and shananigans and we even made two nights turn into 3:00 in the morning bed times It was arrive and unload and lets go for a night ride!!! I even got a hike in on Saturday morning, and yes unlike Pete, I will trek 1.5 miles at 1700ft elevation gain in riding boots I had not been down to the Indian Pictographs yet and with my summer of hiking, I was going to log a trail that no one else had in my group. Well worth the trek down. Thank you again Mike and Adam for waiting for me at the top of the trail. I think these people have moved into the meadows permanantely not that I blame them, thats where I would live if I could Some pics
  11. So happy you guys had a nice fresh sand day! That has my sandticipation in overdrive
  12. That should be our first trip out. Mike will be coming back from China on the 23rd, so it will be hurry and get ready. Halloween and Thanksgiving are the only big holiday weekends we have planned, and MLK.. But that is not really a big holiday weekend. I was hoping for some fresh smooth dumont sand for the first trip, but that will have to wait til one of our many off weekend trips
  13. Shhh... your not supposed to tell anyone! I do love my truck bed tent though, if you can pick one of those up, you should be good, I still have to order the strap pads $15.00 for pads that wrap arond the straps for extra protection for when the wind does blow.
  14. I love my truck bed tent.. I have not used it at Dumont as of yet, but it has been great. I have a memory foam that I put in mine, it is very comfortable, being up off the ground. And I dont have any problems with the old bones... But I am not nearly as old sanddawg..
  15. I was a little sad that we would miss our traditional first trip of the season, with Mike back off to China, but I filled it with my first trip all summer to the lake and a kayak trip down the canyon And next weekend back to Coral for sand fix before he leaves So home sweet Dumont home will have to wait til halloween.
  16. Let me know if you end up going Oct 20 weekend, if you come help me load up my quad in the truck, I'll throw my tent in and go that weekend too, one of our friends is having his birthday out there that weekend and I am thinking about going anyway.
  17. I doubt the temps will be low enough for him to change his mind.. But you could certainly try to persuade him in the direction of dumont. More then likely we will be at gosa. There isn't much there, but just enough to get a sand fix in and relax. And it's about 10 degrees cooler.
  18. We will either be at Coral or Gosa Sept 21 - 23 weekend , Mike has not decided which one yet. You know you are always welcome to join us.
  19. Rappy you are looking for someone to day trip during the week or weekend? I would be in for day tripping, during the weekend! We are out for this weekend as well. Mike will be back in China, unless I can find a camp to take in a straggler. Looks like our first trip will now be Halloween.
  20. That weekend is on the books for our first trip, do a little shakedown. But we will have to see when it gets closer I can't wait to see dumont sand again!
  21. Another hiking trip on Saturday morning, with KrazeeMyke up Mt. Charleston, Fletcher's Canyon, got caught in a little thunder shower. Pretty awesome to hear the thunder cracking and echoing through the canyon walls! Loving my hikes, working my way up to do the Havasu Falls next summer.. 10 miles in, backpack your stuff in and camp at the falls. But I am so ready for dune season! Come on fall!!! Havasu Falls.... next summer's big hiking trip!
