So Mommies Christmas check came in... Now I am trying to decide if I should do another upgrade or not.. and if I decide to what should I do, if anything at all.. heck maybe I will just get new riding gear.. should I just hold out and wait til next season? I am fairly happy with what I have.. but if you don't know whats out there, how do you decide? Decisions decisions decisions... I am not a hill shooter or a racer in anyway. I spend most of my time chasing down Mike in his rail on fast dune runs. So opinions, advice or whatever How much do things cost..what do they do.. etc etc And for those that don't know I run an 05 Honda TRX 450r and just upgraded the tires (which I love)

Thanks everyone! Yes off weekends rock! If it were up to me thats all I would do from here on out! Mike pushed me all weekend.. I am still sore... :porn: even my throttle thumb muscle got sore. He can say I was slow all he wants to... I spent most of the weekend in fourth gear.. on the last run I did on Sunday morning, I was all over the place. In third gear I was way to slow and felt every bump.. but when I went into fourth, I couldn't hang onto it and was making stupid mistakes, I maybe the the resident retard and all but I know when I become a danger to myself, it was time to be done.. I guess going sun up to sun down Friday and Sat just takes it out of a person I did have a couple of great compliments from a couple of different guys I chatted with this weekend though, they said they really enjoyed watching me out there.. they would see Mike in the rail and then look for me chasing him down, even they said I was hauling and wanted to know if I had a school for their wives to take or if I would be interested in teaching them some things. That really made me feel good

I figured it would have been hearing the words "Hey Baby.... pull forward and roost me" It was definately a great day!

There IS a Christmas weekend report thread going now... Sand was smmmmoooooooth Friday and Sat.. but wet under and by the time we left on Sunday eve still good lines but pretty well tore up..

A trip to Dumont.. new googles... new grips.. ear phones.. and speaker thingy that my Ipod plugs into... Hoping Mommy's Christmas check is big enough for those A arms for my quad.. damnit! :clown:

As soon as the whole "family" thing was over on Christmas eve we hit the road and rolled into Dumont around 9pm. Camping area was pretty empty. Got settled and snuggled in in my dune blankie to watch my traditional Christmas Eve movie "Its a Wonderful Life" The wind was blowing at a decent pace, blowing the dunes smooth.. Woke up Christmas morning with a beautiful sunrise.. Had our special Christmas breakfast. Got ready to ride, headed over to 80 grits to see if he wanted to do the early morning run. Not quite ready so we hit the sand.. the wind had blown it pretty darn smooth, but Mike picked up a good line and what better way to start out your Christmas then a nice 4th gear run! Hopping razors.. whipping corners and getting the adrenelene flowing? Headed back to camp to wait for Vegas Style to roll in.. go to make my Merry Family Christmas phone calls, find out I only have enough battery to make em quick.. barely get them out and send off a couple of Merry Christmas texts. But when I pop over on the finger dune.. I got another Christmas present! Jill and Charlie had made it out!! :xmas8: Spent the rest of the weekend playing in the sand.. working on my mad razor rolling skills and just enjoying the company of those people around me Mike kept telling me I was riding slower then usual I said WTF? No no no YOU are going faster then usual, cause I spent all my time in third and fourth.. mostly fourth.. gears! Sand was wet underneath and by Sunday I was sore and every bump hurt.. I thought the dunes were getting pretty tore up and didn't even ride Sunday afternoon. I hope it smooths back out before next weekend. People really started rolling in on Sunday and there were quite a few camps already out there getting a jump start on the New Years weekend I am guessing or beating the crowds. Those "just the two of you" or very very small couple of peeps trips on off weekends are the friggen best!!! Pics rock as always!!

You know I have tried really hard to be quiet cause EVERYONE has their own opinons about tires and I happen to LOVE the ITP's that I have and I have NO PROBLEM WHATSOEVER keeping up with the sand rails and the big boys on their quads on 4th gear pinned runs... and you can ask any of the guys that I run with about my ability to keep up... I tried out some other tires, when I debeaded, not sure of what kind they are.. I have heard alot of peeps run them.. and like them... I however HATED them, they made me feel squirelly and out of control... Its all a matter of preference and what you feel comfortable with... and it it definately a matter of opinion... if you have the opportunity to try out some differant tires before you buy them that would be best for sure! You just never know what YOU are going to be comfortable with....
