  6. Thanks!! Brings back some really great memories of home!!!
  7. APARENTLY YOU CAN'T READ!!!!!!!!!!! SORRY!!!!!!!!!!!!! The way you worded your previous post made it seem like you were making fun of the list. I went back and reread it after I was awake and had some coffee and realized that wasn't the case.. couldn't edit it out since warrior had already quoted it!! Yes I do! Thanks for reminding me that I need to add shampoo/conditioner/hair gel/bodywash/make up/lotion to the list!! Well.. since you are the epitome of perfectness and you must have angel wings under your riding gear and a halo under your helmet.. you don't need my stuupid :censored: list anyway... and since you have aparently pleanty of time to dig up all the old threads and I don't thats just awesome!! I guess since Kristen pointed out that this thread is just yet again another repeat from those unperfect and forgetful normal people of the world, we may as well just kill it! SORRY I WAS JUST TRYING TO HELP PEOPLE OUT! :comp:
  8. Chalk it up to lack of sleep and coffee and being tired of people complaining about dumb stuff!! I retract my previous statement! Back to hearing about the tips please! Wingy said something at work yesterday that was a good idea as well.... And I have seen it in other peoples haulers.. A small dry erase board to make a list of things that you run out of or think of needing while you are out in the dunes
  9. OOOPS! No sleep.. bad timing..bad day... I had yet another moment!
  10. EW!!!!!!! Now if it was one of him... well... I would have to come to the auction and bid on it!
  11. Do you know which one we donated?? I can always ask at work, but just curious.
  12. We are all always looking for ideas to make camping, duning, and hauling easier... I have learned quite a few tricks and tips from DDR members that have made camping life easier... but they are in this thread and that thread and spread out all over the site.. with dune season coming in a couple of months I thought I would see what others have discovered through thier years of camping and duning and hauling.. Some of my favorites: Run2it: Reguarding the mounting of a camera such as the GoPro... Trick we got from Jill and Charlie about how to keep the cost of propane down when heating your hauler. So many of us have the big haulers and have to heat the whole back end up as well as the front living quarters.. makes no sense to heat the back end at night if no one is sleeping back there... A sheet and some clips close off your garage area... clips are very inexpensive and most people have an extra old sheet.. I have two "banker boxes" that I use to transport food to and from the hauler.... making packing easier then goiing back and forth with small loads. I also have an excellent 2 part checklist & menu/shopping list so you will never forget anything... but its in excel and I don't know how to convert it to PDF and I have tried attaching it but it doesn't work.. so if you want it and have excel PM me and I can email it to you! I know I have learned a few other tips for making camping easier from this site, but I can't remember where they all are... So lets hear what other things you have learned over the years making your life easier....
  13. Did you ever get a picture from us??
  14. Thanks! I usually catch alot of DDR birds :beer_bang: Looks like everyone had a good time and I am glad to hear the weather cooperated and had low temps in Aug. Its been a pretty incredible year in the weather dept. All the pics are awsome! I love your first pic as well Skinner!
  15. Thanks Pete and Jill.. It was definately good times.. Hurry up with your pics Jackie.. Your welcome! it was a blast having you tag along! Your days of hanging out in camp and not riding are over!! I am not even sore today! Just energized!!
  16. Saturday's rides.. spent more time riding then taking pics.. Sunday's ride, to check out the indian writings... didn't have the energy to hike the 1.5 round trip with steep cliffs in riding boots.. Mike and Cory chatting with the new Park Ranger.. real nice gal Found some good air on the way back to camp. The flowers were out in full bloom.. Scenery shots.. Razor thinks this is his new bed
  17. Keeping track of Razor around the fire Thursday night Friday's rides.. oops... What the heck did you do?? Chillen around the fire.. Empty meadow... My first cow sighting Tree problems... KR350 Hey! What are you guys looking at? Oh...DuneSmurf's turn to be in the tree
  18. All I can say is weekends like this don't get much better!!!! PERFECT weather.. chilly at night...warm during the day... no water in the pond.. Meadow almost empty.. Up early every morning finishing the first ride by 8AM!! Makes for long good hard riding days! 3 and 4 hour rides ROCK!! Covering Coral from fence line to fence line.. got an added bonus on Sat with an awesome guided tour by KR350's friend Wade! He knew Coral like the back of his hand and rides better then anyone I have ever seen! And what a nice guy! "One Way Trail" rocks going through it in third and fourths gears.. til I scared myself and got a little sideways tip better slow it down just a notch. I wasted no ride time... except when the boys went on a two hour "big boy" ride Phrase of the weekend "Watch out for that tree" "Turtle" DuneSmurf can pogo stick her KFX700!! I finally got to see cows Razor, our chihuahua, can chase down a two wheeler in 1.5 secs with the rider roosting him repeatedly BAD DOG! I didn't think he could run that fast! Mike gets impatient when wood doesn't burn and decides to give it the "forest fire" effect.. I lead my first ride... little slower then most everyone was used to, but still fast enough to be fun! and I found us some pretty good jumps! No matter who you are camping with somehow the conversation somehow always turns to :poop: Wished a few others could have been able to join us hopefully next time! Good times, good friends, great weather, great rides.... it just doesn't get much better! Pics to follow...
