Looking forward to helping out in the registration booth again this year!!

We used to play a game called Fuzzy Duck..... You sat in a circle and Fuzzy Duck went clock wise so some one would start out and say Fuzzy Duck the person who sat to the right would repeat and so on... HOWEVER if you wanted to reverse the direction you could say Ducky Fuzz... If you missed your turn or you messed up and said something besides Fuzzy Duck or Ducky Fuzz you object of course was to keep it going around the circle as fast as you can! Good times and lots of and then there was some card game I can't remember the name of it now, something about he!! maybe been too long but it was fun as well used to play on the houseboat up on Shasta Lake.

Welcome! How much longer are they doing glow?? What are the hours?? Going to try and squeeze it in Sat or maybe Friday eve!! Lost Creek Trail is in Red Rock Canyon Park.. If you wanna go I can meet you there..and we can check it out! I am always down for a hike in Red Rock! I am usually out there alone and am always looking for company! I got the yearly pass hook up!

Can you imanagine that prom?? Ma....I think I have to take my sister again this year, the other two girls that were available...well one is going with her cousin and the other just got busted for... oh nevermind I am just gonna take sis again...
-
I would be down for that as well!! Lets pick a date! Is the Natural History Museum still doing the glow bugs???? Oh yeah and here's a couple of pics for behind the water fall... last year when I went when it was flowing it was just a stream, this year its like a blanket..

I was wondering when someone was going to chime in with that!! In this economy..if I wanna drink I'll stay home and drink at cost instead of $5.00 a beer! I just think its cool that we have so many things to go and do either with your families or friends that is off the strip... Since I haven't been here long and I am sure that others on the board who maybe coming to town, would like to know some of the local hot spots that are less traveled and not so overwhelmed by people... It seemed though that everyone was out and about this weekend.. We ended up Hoover Dam on Sat and Hooters for dinner.. ok ok so it was Dan Marino's not quite on the strip but within walking distance of thier hotel.. Sunday, we spent all day in Red Rock and didn't make it to Bonnie Springs..the waterfall at the end of Lost Creek Trail is flowing nicely..if you haven't seen it yet it really is worth it!! I will post pics up tonight of it. Then Sunday night, we did hit the strip since none of us had seen the water show at the Belligio..and as we were walking there we were constantly reminded of why we were avoiding the strip I still think there are some more places out there to do..keep the ideas coming And where can I find that horseback riding??? i haven't been on a hossie in years and I think it would be a blast!!

Well I know that we cleaned up a bit around us so maybe others did that as they were leaving.

About the only emotion I can describe was the anger I felt at the airport security, disrespectful...
-
I watched it last night and..... I don't think I could even begin to attempt to find words that could describe the emotions that I felt during this movie...

yes already set up.

My friend who sent me the link originally has the same views on the "hollywood" verson of things, so when she sent it to me I knew it was going to be worth taking a look at, she has been a strong military wife all of her adult life, her husband is stationed there in 29 Palms and is almost retired. I spent many a night comforting her while he was deployed, but unless you or yours is actually deployed, you can't truely understand the magnatude of it. All I could do was just be there when she needed me. Then I watched the trailer..and could barely make it through that. I have more respect for those that have served, that are serving then anything else.

OH! Lunch at Mt Charleston Lodge, never thought of that!! Horseback riding...hmmmm I never thought of that!! I think that sounds like a cool idea for a weekend day get together trip for something different to do.. where is that??

Soooo I guess I am still learning the ways of Vegas.... been here for a year now... Well my parents are going to be in town Sat Sun and Mon... So I am going to be doing that tourist thing with them, and of course they have been here before, so they don't care about the strip and have been there done that! They are the adventurous type, so I had been trying to find stuff to do with them.. Someone told them the Hoover Dam tour was way cool.. I had planned a short Red Rock Hiking trip into check out the waterfall I was talking to a friend of mine last night and he suggested Bonnie Springs...then I asked him what that was..why the heck had I never heard of this place before!!!???? Looks really cool!! So I thought maybe there may be some other things that I hadn't heard of that were off the strip that were cool places to go close to home and when you can't get to Dumont! Maybe just maybe some others have some ideas of cool things to do off the strip... and not in a bar!!

Just got in a little bit ago.. yep the road out was wayyy better then it was going in! AWESOME weekend!! a couple of observations.... Thursday morning 7am quads rides are lonely but freaking awesome for making new fresh tracks! Had a nice little run to the northpole to take some pics before the dunes got all tore up Maryokee on Sunday night was Who wants to get rolled up in a sheet?? Hotdog fights with a slingshot are funny for the first 5mins only... I FINALLY hit 4th gear on some kick a$$ Malibu led runs! Paul Robs new hairdo!! :no_no: DO NOT OPEN SOMEONES BACK DOOR IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT!!!!!!! :rant_on: They come out swinging shovels.... But the retailiation the next evening was kinda Thursday and Friday duning the quad from 7 am (with a quick stop for lunch) til 4pm makes one sore very very sore.. But not to sore to ride again most of Sat!! Had noooo problem taking a break on Sunday to watch the Daytona!! :hatdance: Thank you to all who assisted in one way shape or form to get that set up right (what a pain) Thanks Mike for spending some precious dune time to set it up for me!! Thanks to NicoleinVegas, KR350, Dune Smurf, SinCityBlondie and Nick (whatever your screen name is ) for all the scrumptious Pizzazz food!! DirtPrincess leads the best ever 4th gear dune runs in the Razor! Even got up in the bigger dunes!! And so far it is still the best dune run I have been on on my quad!! Running into sandunesaddict in the DuneTracker and falling in line behind him was awesome, he can really tear up the dunes with that!! Monkies Valentine Day monkie socks Met TylertheHucker He's a funny guy that like to fall in the wood pile!! Watching the guys climb the new NorthPole .. which was up again this morning when I was there... Taking one more quiet soul searching ride this morning before we left... sitting there up on a tall dune, just looking out over Dumont..helmet off...breathing in that air..I sat there for prob 15 mins just taking it all in, before people started to buzz around me..those 15 mins made everything else in life worthwhile!! Also was impressed that I had several peeps stop and ask if I was ok.. Pics to follow...I think there maybe more that I might be missing...but I am pooped!! Great time, great friends, great dunes, almost perfect weather, my quad ran all weekend...guess that makes for a PERFECT dune trip!!
