Thank you to all who were helping to find my girl a home! Thank you to all who were interested in giving her a good home! Bob has decided he is going to go ahead and take her back!! He and the new kids are very excited about getting her and will probably get her this weekend! Sad, but I still know that she is going where she should have stayed in the first place!!

I knew that! Thats why the :no_no: and the And who in this group is ***INNOCENT*** ?? Just picked up a "bowling alley" you can come over and be a chef in it if you miss it!! Or you can just come hang out! Bring the pins! :beer_bang:

Send you a msg back! Yes still have her. Had her up at Big Bear this weekend and didn't have to leash her once. She didn't mess in the cabin or eat the furniture (sorry, inside joke) and she'd never been there before. Bob did send me a msg, saying NO GARUNTEES, but he was THINKING of takin her, and would let me know in a couple of days.

She's such a lover, I was hoping Bob might take her back, but he doesn't have time for a pup right now!

I didn't get a whole lot of time to hang out in it, but I do remember coming in to console the "Broken Butt" club when Angela joined! And I had my first (oops ) in it on Halloween! ***Edited to protect the innocent!! Yeah! Less room less guests!!! There's a brightside to everything!!

Thanks Pete! She's a sweetie and she is picked on and spends most of her outside time hiding and I just can't stand it! She's probably the best pup I have ever had, taken her to Dumont and camping and she just hangs right by your side. The only prob she has had is that I give her a dose of Dramamine before traveling cause she gets nervous and she just started this since the move, she didn't do it before, and thats that she gets into the garbage, but I think thats her way of dealing with getting picked on all the time. She weighs prob about 30 - 35 pds tops with the hair, I puppy cut her during the summer months! Oh yeah she can also give you a five and ten! (for a trick) and if you clap your hand in the air she'll jump up and spin!

I just remembered a couple more........ Dumont sunsets! Finally going up comp on my quad! The ride Stacey's brother Kris took me on! Up and Over backside of comp and through the bowls over there! I was scared as hel!! Hands were shakin, I was almost puking, BUT I STILL DID IT!!!! Had to have been the bravest thing I have ever done on a quad! Maybe next year I'll try it again! Not having my Heep damaged at comp when the quad hit the truck and then my Heep! Didn't roll my quad once this year!! Last year I think the tires saw more sky then my helmet! Running though random camps, asking "is so and so here? They said to meet them back here later" and then laughing my a$$ off at the confusion and then having fun with the random people who laughed back at me! Good times right there!!

I am looking for a good home for one of my pups! She's very sweet, good with kids, cats, house broken, knows a few tricks, sit up & speak. She been obedience trained. She'll stick right by you and not run off, very loyal. She's just too sweet I guess and is on the bottom of the "pack" around here and it breaks my heart to see her get picked on! She's a pure mini Austrailian Shepard (no papers)! I would love to see her go to someone I know first! SHE IS AWESOME PUP!! Best job I ever had was working at a non profit therapy center with autistic 2 year olds! What a blast, kept me on my toes, very gratifying! I think the only other job that came close to that one was when I worked as a behavior disorder therapist one on one with a second grader, who was the most unruly little thing when I came on bored. Watching him come around with some possitive feedback, when all he had ever gotten was negative, was awesome! The most rewarding experience was when he had worked extra hard on a project (abe lincoln's cabin made out of popsicle sticks) and it got an award! The smile on his face and to see how proud he was! PRICELESS!!!

Worst job I ever had was in the kitchen at an old folks home washing dishes back in high school! All I can say is pureed chili Even now the smell of chili makes me sick! I always wondered WTF they were thinking feeding the old folks chili for in the first place, cause the nurses got it the next day and the whole building stunk!

Yeah THAT was it!! Got it just before lunch! Wasn't hungry anymore................. But it reminded me of why I don't eat fast food anymore!!

Sun fading on a Dumont off weekend!

AHHH!! HAVASU BREW!! On Pete's Palm Tree!!

As this Dumont season winds down and the summer season begins, I was looking through some of the old trip reports and reflecting back on some good times had this year! I was reading though the "positive only" thread and wished that we would have done that for every "big weekend" trip! As the summer drags on and people get cranky and start having withdrawls, it'll be nice to look back and read some positive things that happened in the season that we just put behind us and have some thing to smile about! My positive reflections on this past season............ 1. Seeing sand more times this year then in the past years! 2. Having met some awesome friends and getting to hang with them all season! 3. Neverending picture opportunities! 4. Going on an "Epic Sunset Ride" finally. 5. My first long travel rail ride! 6. Driving my first long travel! 7. Helping out with the FODD clean up! 9. Experiencing downhill wheelies, uphill wheelies and jumping! 10. Getting to take my son out, so he could experience something that makes his mom happy and seeing the smile on his face that went from ear to ear!! I could go on and on and on.............but I thought I would keep it to my top ten! Thank you to everyone who made this years sand season the best one ever!! Thanks for the laughs, the smiles, the craziness! What a great season!! :shocked2:

Congratulations you two!! Went out Sat for a day trip! Michael HAD to see some sand before he went back to Washington! After having such an awesome day on Sat and a wonderful visit in general, theres rumors floatin that he may be moving this direction next year!! Had a good trip! Forgot the paddles but did just fine anyways!! Michael at the pole!! He's never been to the Pole!! Some VERY terrified boys at the pole! Ha! Ha! Out on a guys weekend AND STILL can't avoid the Paprazzi!! Of corse these are the only ones of the group I saw!! Me and the Kid at comp!! He had a blast!! Loved seeing Dumont under daylight hours and getting some actual ride time in!! Coming right at me!
