  1. Vendor Row, from GTP Offroad Lots of people showed up for Sand Wars.
  2. The BLM will have their Dumont Visitor Center Open all weekend with information about Dumont and it's surrounding areas. They will also have JR Ranger Activity Guides for kids 6-12 yrs old. There will be daily safety and wildlife programs at 11 AM and 2 PM. Something new this year is Meet the Medics Open House! At 4:30 on Feb 13th. There will be free coffee, hot chocolate, and snacks while you get a chance to meet the BLM staff that manages Dumont Dunes. Stop by the Dumont Dunes Visitor Center between 9-4:30 to see Park Ranger Art's wildlife display.
  3. Sad news at Dumont today. From what I've been told, a UT man lost his life while racing up Banshee Hill on his Banshee. He hit a witch's eye or rode off the top and passed away from his injuries. http://www.dumontduneriders.com/index.php/news/_/articles/featured/fatal-accident-on-banshee-hill-presidents-r70
  4. Some of you take the Blue Diamond/ Mt Potisi route from Vegas to Dumont. A stretch of that road leading up to Mt Potosi is scheduled to be widened beginning this month. This is a good thing as I have seen multiple fatal accidents where people try to pass on that two lane highway. So keep this in mind as you travel that direction to Dumont. Details for construction times and such are in the link below. They are starting this month and the project will be completed early 2017. That means it will affect your 2016-2017 Dumont season too. http://pvtimes.com/news/road-pahrump-us-95-near-goldfield-begin-construction.html
  5. I'll try and update this thread as photos get sent in and tagged on our social media pages...
  6. It is a free weekend for those that volunteer. It's on the flyer and the link I posted.
  7. Crowdog got some shots yesterday while some of the guys did some test n tune for the SxS Wars.
  8. This camp sounds like fun. I think we can all agree there are some bad apples in the BLM or law enforcement in general. I have had my own bad experiences with them in the past, but I don't feel the department as a whole is out to harass duners unless they give them good reason to.
  9. I'll know as it gets closer. I still have one off weekend trip to D to squeeze in before then.
  10. I've never had any issues like that at Dumont. When did this harassment and searching go on?
  11. I just realized you are talking about a trike. Lol thought you meant motorcycle. The same may apply though.
  12. 500's typically run a 10 cup paddle. Even an 8 cup would work better but the 500 has the power to pull a 10.
  13. Such a sad deal. You just never know who deals with mental illness. Poor guy.
  14. LOL! oh damn. Shows the true strength of that chassis right there.
  15. Couple RZRs that will be at the Sand Wars.
  16. There was no voting. I decided it was an appropriate DPOM.
  17. DPOM updated with Clark's memorial photo
  18. There will be an unofficial ATC70 regatta this year on March 19th at Pismo! PeeWee and the crew will be there. I'm thinking of trying to make the trip. Might just keep it simple and load the ATC and tent up in the truck and go. I've never been to Pismo. This might be a good excuse. Anyone else thinking about it?
  19. FYI, the cleanup will be on Saturday, March 12th at 8:00 AM. Friends of El Mirage are stepping up this year to help the BLM with the cleanup. http://www.dumontduneriders.com/index.php/news/_/articles/14th-annual-dumont-dunes-cleanup-r68
  20. It's the time of year to give back and take care of the amazing playground that mother nature offers to us, Dumont Dunes. Let's face it, some trash and things sometimes get left behind in fire pits or in camp when we go out to play in the sandbox. The annual cleanup is our chance to spend just a few hours of our day to make sure the dunes are free of trash. This year the Friends of El Mirage are stepping up to help the Barstow BLM with the cleanup. Usually Friends of Dumont Dunes are the ones who put it on, but over the last couple years lack of organization support has left the group without any active board members. So grab your sunglasses, gloves and friends and come out for a weekend or even just the day to help give back to Dumont. Lunch will be provided and all volunteers will receive a wristband which will get you in and out of Dumont for free that weekend. If you have any question email the contacts on the banner below, leave a comment here on our page or on the forum link provided. forum discussion: http://www.dumontduneriders.com/invision/index.php?showtopic=20562
  21. Yeah but still cheaper than a whole motor which comes with the same sh*tty plastic gear. I'm sure Randog could whip one up but time is of the essence for me this week.
  22. Ah damn it! I guess we should probably let each other know next time.
  23. He bought it at the Sand Sports Super Show. He said he'd look for a company name on it.
