Who's going? Anyone here?

I'm not ready yet but I will be. I have some new paddles to mount up, a few new heims to install and some general maintenance on the buggy. Oh and let's not forget some new interior LEDs to mount up. It's too early to tell being 2 weeks out, but I'm guessing daytime highs in the upper 70's or maybe about 80. That's dunable for me.

90's is very warm out there. Last year was scorching the weekend before Halloween. I think it was mid-90's during the day. Yuck.

The BLM should warn these tourists with a sign explaining how easy it is to get stuck. So many people drive out there, especially in summer, and get stuck. Remember that guy back in June? I wonder how many others do it and what they end up doing to get out. Do they walk to the road or call for help? Thanks for the quick report, Jason.

Depending on the weather, Halloween might be our first trip. Going to wait and see. Last year it was still pretty scorching hot the week before. The DDR Halloween banner is up. It's only one month away!

With dune season coming up, seems like a good reason to this thread.

Some very sad news today. Erik Roner died today at age 39 while skydiving/ parachuting to a golf charity event near Tahoe. He struck a tree just before landing killing him instantly. I have no plans yet. I'll be watching the weather and planning my first trip accordingly. Last year we did the weekend before Halloween and it was hot. As much as I wanna get out there, I'll patiently wait for the cool weather to arrive. Harry, are you joining us buggy guys this year?

The winner's dune pic will be posted on the homepage after the contest is over. The member's screen name will be posted up with it as well as your caption or description included with the pic. Today is the first day of autumn. That means soon enough the triple digits will be gone and we'll be enjoying DUNE SEASON . Looking forward to cruising the dunes and kicking back around a camp fire with my dune buds.
