  1. Saturday night the rain came down hard at Dumont. It came down so hard that it woke alot of people up. The storms have been on and off all weekend, but in between there were enough breaks in the weather to allow for some very rare duning conditions. For example the featured photo was taken by Tess Roussin while out on a ride in her Polaris RZR. A rainbow over the dunes is quite a sight! Thanks for posting the photo, Tess. It really proves that Dumont is a pot of gold.
  2. Couple of pics from sandchick this morning. Looks much better out there than work!
  3. I heard 10 mph was the comfortable speed going in as of today. I wouldn't worry about getting rained/ trapped in. It takes a ton of rain to flood the river.
  4. I'm sure I'll see you guys at some point throughout the weekend. I'll be there with about 4-6 cars.
  5. I have barrel locks on my Matco box. Never had an issue with one.
  6. Not sure is most of you are aware of this, but one of our new site sponsors has a great fix for the problem. If your toyhauler cargo and generator door lock keys have CH751 on them, most everyone has a key to them. I haven't had any break in issues lately, but I am thinking of upgrading all my locks to these. http://www.dumontduneriders.com/index.php/news/_/articles/many-dont-know-about-this-security-risk-on-r45
  7. yes, winner originally was Dumontaffliction and is on the homepage
  8. I already do this...because of your advice a few years ago.
  9. Sahara rv too. Mention their ad on our homepage and get an additional 10% off rentals.
  10. Glamis and Dumont are very different. I would expect some bs like that down at G, but not at D. My guess would be that it's another reason to harass the hill shooters which seem to already get alot of sh*t from rangers.
  11. Sounds like one of those laws only enforced if your caught blowing things up while high on meth and there's no Dumont pass hanging in your window. In other words, doing something really stupid.
  12. Who's going? Anyone here?
  13. I'm not ready yet but I will be. I have some new paddles to mount up, a few new heims to install and some general maintenance on the buggy. Oh and let's not forget some new interior LEDs to mount up. It's too early to tell being 2 weeks out, but I'm guessing daytime highs in the upper 70's or maybe about 80. That's dunable for me.
  14. Hey guys, a buddy of mine needs some "thumbs ups" or likes on his YouTube video in order to try and win a contest. He is not far from first and hopefully DDR can put him over the top. Click on the video link and be click the thumbs up at the bottom right corner. Thanks for the support! https://youtu.be/eQjuG2H8TLA
  15. I miss the fun and the people but not the responsibility and work.
  16. Our link works http://www.dumontduneriders.com/index.php/news/_/articles/polaris-recalls-2015-rzr-900-1000-due-to-r44
  17. I may have a few left. They are packed away in my trailer, but the next time I have a reason to get over there I will look.
  18. Good call. It's going to be a few more weeks until it cools down. I bet this past Monday would have been nice out there.
  19. "It's getting dark... don't let the witch-eye get ya! Happy Halloween!", submitted by Dumontaffliction
  20. 90's is very warm out there. Last year was scorching the weekend before Halloween. I think it was mid-90's during the day. Yuck.
  21. Vote now. Like really fast now. I'm slackin and forgot to get the poll going! Gotta put the winner up asap.
  22. The BLM should warn these tourists with a sign explaining how easy it is to get stuck. So many people drive out there, especially in summer, and get stuck. Remember that guy back in June? I wonder how many others do it and what they end up doing to get out. Do they walk to the road or call for help? Thanks for the quick report, Jason.
  23. Congrats on the "new" trailer 4 months later, Steve. lol How's it been on your trips?
