  1. I have to admit, this looks like it will be a very useful and cool product. Not only at the dunes, but on other rides like my enduro rides and mountain biking. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2132408298/awiretm-share-the-adventure?ref=video
  2. I figure this thread could use a I took my mom up to Zion this last weekend for her birthday. It was a good opportunity to bust out the DSLR and grab a few shots of the place while I was there. The weather was awesome.
  3. Seeing lots of this stuff lately all over the place. Definitely doesn't help the image of law enforcement. Those cops let their emotions take over when they finally got to that dude and were completely out of line. Not cool.
  4. Saw this posted by 311 today on Facebook! Apparently they liked my video enough to share it with their 1.2 million followers. Made my day. " data-width="500"> ">311 fan Pete Greep made a great 12 min video clip from the Cruise. Journey through his lens, it's quite the rush! 5. From what I heard it was pretty dead other than some activity on Saturday. Everyone who went said it was pretty warm during the day, but there was a breeze and perfect, smooth dunes. I posted up a few duners' pics and some stuff in the news section. http://www.dumontduneriders.com/index.php/news/_/articles/featured/happy-easter-r34
  6. Happy Easter, everybody! Easter weekend has never been big holiday weekend, however some still make it an official last trip of the season. The warmer weather usually keeps duners from going out this late in the season since it starts getting pretty warm this time of year. The one thing you can count on is virgin, smooth sand though. With less people going out, there's not as many tracks to rut the place up. We heard from some duners who went out and they mentioned it was very nice out there, just a little warm during the middle of the day. There was a good amount of activity on Saturday which means maybe a bunch of day trippers. The season may be coming to a close, but the triple digits haven't hit yet! Time to squeeze in some quick day trips. photos courtesy of matt94302 photos courtesy of quadrider700
  7. Sounds like a damn fine, trip. Nice and relaxing like a vacation should be. Sucks about the damn flies though. Any pics you can post?
  8. Great to hear, Brady! Now the long summer wait begins. Watch the weather and do a day trip! haha
  9. Ah ok. We were riding on quads and were parked in the meadow. We got there late morning Saturday and bailed out around noon on Sunday. Still crazy I didn't spot you out in the dunes.
  10. Always appreciate your outlook, Lee. lol We've been posting pics of trash for years, mostly @@SAND~~SNAKE, but a few others have too. It is somewhat effective but those that leave trash behind aren't involved with the dunes like most of us on DDR. They don't give a crap. They figure someone else will pick up after them. It happens everywhere.
  11. Wtf? We were there too! Check my trip report in the other areas section. Can't believe I didn't see you out there.
  12. Perfect! Would love to see you back out there. We're running out of fast buggy guys.
  13. No not yet. I borrowed Brice's Rappy 700 for this trip.
  14. $72 for Swepco is cheap. It runs a little over $80/ gallon locally in Vegas.
  15. Last weekend @@Sand_YFZ , Mike B and I jammed up to Coral Pink to squeeze in some duning. We made every minute count since we were only there for Saturday and Sunday. When you do a trip with your sole purpose being to to ride ride ride, all you need is about a day or so. We covered just about every bit of Coral. The temps were way nice, 60's and 70's during the day and upper 40's at night. We had no crashes or major issues although I had a very close call with a RZR1000 just past the one way trail. I got it on GoPro. On our last ride on Sunday, Aaron somehow managed to break a front sprocket but we got it handled in no time. He had a spare. The lake bed/ meadow camp area was pretty empty as expected. There were only about 4 camps. The dunes were nice and there was some moisture 8-10" below probably from the recent snow. There were a couple small patches of snow here and there along the side of some trails that never seemed to melt. Overall it was an amazing trip. We brought our bikes managed to do a mountain bike ride at Gooseberry Mesa (near Hurricane, UT) on the way home. I'll post those pics up in the hard pack section soon.
  16. Wow, this is a first. That's crazy.
