It's DPOM time! Post up a pic. The winner's dune pic will be posted on the homepage after the contest is over. The member's screen name will be posted up with it as well. You may also post a caption or description included with the pic. Dune Pic of the Month- Rules 1. The picture must be YOURS. Do not go surfing the internet looking for one to submit. You cannot post any copyrighted pics. 2. The picture must not have any watermarks or logos on it. 3. The picture must be at least 600 x 600 pixels. It will be displayed on the home page if it wins the most votes so therefore we would like it to be a decent size picture. 4. The picture must abide by the terms and conditions (rules) of this board. 5. Post only ONE picture per contest

I was just getting back from doing a time lapse of the sunset. I think it'll turn out awesome. Nice to meet you too, Clark!

Just got home. I have to work tomorrow but I stayed as late as possible today (Sun night). It was a really great weekend. The dunes got pretty beat but it didn't slow us down one bit. I burned every last drop of race fuel that I brought this weekend. We got some badass runs in and had a really good group. Off to bed. I'll post more when I get around to it. Until then, here was tonight's sunset I snapped with my phone.

80grit sent me a message last night when they were on their way to Dumont that Rick (High Fly) blew out of a front tire on his coach. Hopefully they got it fixed and made it to D ok! I got the green light to leave work early today so if all goes well I'll be there this afternoon along with JVZ.

Hey Rick! I think we've met before. You're Rob's buddy right? I wish I could get out there Thurs night, but have to work Friday. Gonna have to see if I can maybe change that. haha See ya out there Friday. Rob is parking with us.

That's too bad. This is not a good way to help an event grow. Not everyone is on FB, Instagram, etc these days. Forums are still the go-to spot for specific dune info. I would think the event promoters would want to get the pics, videos and general info of how it all went posted on here. Maybe they're just busy.

Oops! That soft sand can be nice but can also bite back and stop you dead in your tracks. haha Thanks for the report & vid! Every time I watch a video of a dirtbike in the dunes it makes me want to pick up another dune bike.

Pretty disappointing. They test all year long and still seem to have these issues every year. He can't catch a break.

Here's a couple hours of duning condensed down to about a minute. It's a time lapse taken with my Hero 2.

Sorry to hear about your friend. Injuries suck big time and are very scary when they happen. Hoping he recovers quickly and 100%. Donation made and link shared on our FB page. Good luck and please keep us posted on his progress/ condition.

It's easy to get decent quality wide shots. Those buggies that I snapped shots of with my DSLR were about a 1/4 mile away.
