  1. That's too bad. This is not a good way to help an event grow. Not everyone is on FB, Instagram, etc these days. Forums are still the go-to spot for specific dune info. I would think the event promoters would want to get the pics, videos and general info of how it all went posted on here. Maybe they're just busy.
  2. Oops! That soft sand can be nice but can also bite back and stop you dead in your tracks. haha Thanks for the report & vid! Every time I watch a video of a dirtbike in the dunes it makes me want to pick up another dune bike.
  3. Well I wasn't there but I'll post up what pics I saw posted by Newly & UTV Guide.
  4. Looks like a different guy, but whoa!
  5. Some pretty crazy carnage for El Martillo Racing. Not sure exactly what happen, but I guess everyone is ok.
  6. Pretty disappointing. They test all year long and still seem to have these issues every year. He can't catch a break.
  7. Here's a couple hours of duning condensed down to about a minute. It's a time lapse taken with my Hero 2.
  8. until
  9. Sorry to hear about your friend. Injuries suck big time and are very scary when they happen. Hoping he recovers quickly and 100%. Donation made and link shared on our FB page. Good luck and please keep us posted on his progress/ condition.
  10. spill it! Those idiots deserve to be flamed again for being irresponsible.
  11. Great pics, Jodi. Sounds like it was pretty nice out there other than your neighbors.
  12. It's easy to get decent quality wide shots. Those buggies that I snapped shots of with my DSLR were about a 1/4 mile away.
  13. hahaha The pics of the buggies (post#11) were taken with my DSLR, but all the in-car shots and some jumping pics were with my GoPro 4 Silver.
  14. Great job on that video, Eric. I thoroughly enjoyed it on mute. lol As for my GoPro pics, I tweaked a few just little but most of them are right out of the camera. It takes amazing shots even in low light. Then if you get the right lighting, they really pop. Those are usually the ones I add a little of my personal touch to and they turn out to be some of my favorites.
  15. I saw that kiddie track last trip. It was huge. Sorry to hear about the injuries. People aren't going to stop making them though. It's inevitable that they will appear out there. Just gotta be very much on guard when cruising the camp areas.
  16. In the post screen click on Choose Files under Attach Files. You can't do this in the Quick Reply box. You must click more reply options.
  17. Best time of year...Dakar, Supercross, and dune season!
  18. This is lost and found. And they did post it.
  19. Is that the Fastony forecast? Exaggerated and not anywhere near correct? LOL! I'll always remember to add 15-20 degrees to what you say it's going to be.
  20. Forecast calls for snow tonight in our desert. I guess we'll see when we wake up. Post up any pics if you wake up to some snow.
  21. Then we duned back over to the south end where I showed everyone Bert's memorial up on the hill. And one final sunset dune cruze for 2014.
