  1. Or just mount the transmission facing the other way and put the motor up front.
  2. Badass. Nice little insurance policy. Load it in your hauler and we'll swap it out at the dunes if you blow yours up. Then all the people who were worried about your trans can rest at ease. lol
  3. Fine then. Sit on your couch in the meantime! It's nowhere close to those temps yet. Another month at least.
  4. Alot of duners decorate their camps. Some even build haunted houses. Trick or treating usually happens just after dark on Saturday, but I would guess it's on Friday this year since that is Halloween. Vendor row sometimes hands out candy to kids too. Comp hill is always fun at night. Lots of costumes and shenanigans going off. It's a really fun weekend. I don't go holidays anymore, but Halloween has always been my favorite. Check out some of last year's highlights, http://www.dumontduneriders.com/invision/index.php?showtopic=18868&hl=
  5. It's a rough life, but someone's gotta do it. Good for you, Steve. Awesome thread. Love those pics.
  6. Oh Damn! Chad is gettin busy. Awesome man. Don't sweat it. There will be plenty of months to dune when the season starts. I'm even down for more day trips during the season.
  7. What oil? Castrol Syntec Weight? 10W30 What engine? Honda 3.5 turbo Why do you choose the oil you run? Because that's what the previous owner ran in it, it's a decent oil, and fairly inexpensive at Wally World How often do you change it in your rail? When it starts to look like diesel oil. jk, every 3-4 trips What filter do you use? Fram or Bosch
  8. I think I'm in again. Will know as it gets closer.
  9. If I ever get around to picking up ynot's video card, I can finish the video from this trip!
  10. never, shifts great. I believe Mendeola even suggested it in one of their threads years back on GD.com
  11. There's rarely any used parts there. Friday night is the best time to go since there aren't as many crowds. That or Sunday afternoon after everyone is burned out and has bailed.
  12. Swepco 212. I change it once a season. I believe Butch's and NV Offroad Buggy still carry it.

  17. I only saw one holding down the canopy when I got back. Someone said before you left you came over and grabbed one or two that we were using. I'll have Newly check his truck again.
  18. Great meeting you and duning with ya, fastony! Yeah, time to step that sandcar up so you can live up to your name! LOL What a great day. Looking forward to another trip.
  19. Sweet. I haven't even started on the video yet but that would be great. I think I have one of your straps too.
  20. Glad you made it out, Randy! Here's a few GoPro screengrabs. Aaron pulling a wheelie on a dune run Much respect for Mike and Aaron who did a damn fine job of avoiding my roost all morning, but watching the GoPro footage clearly shows it's impossible to avoid getting blasted or wearing that haze of sand that gets sh*t out from my paddles. LOL I am super pumped how my car is running since I did the motor work earlier this year. It never once got over 180 degrees and it ran like a sumbitch all day long. This shot is me pulling away from Newly and Chad (to the right of the frame). Looking forward to the season! We have liftoff! Virgin sand!
