Ben it was great meeting you and Jeff. I've seen your buggy out at the north pole in the past and I bet we've even chatted at some point out there. I look forward to hooking up again for some dune runs with you. You're welcome to join us anytime. Ditto! Great seeing Jakster.

Yeah!! Thanks for getting those shots, Tim. Those are badass! I might have a couple more of you playing around at Talladega. I'll look tonight.

Here's our tracks! We duned 115 miles from Friday morning through Sunday afternoon. Pretty much covered that whole place.
-
Jordan the quality is crap, but here is a still frame from my phone. I'll get a video clip up too.

She looked pretty comfortable up there. hahaa

Thanks again to jordan for weighing our cars! That was awesome. I never would have guessed my car weighs 1800 lbs. I thought it was around 1600. And to find out his King Car weighs 1350! wow

Here's pretty much all I got other than some cel phone pics I can post up later.

What a trip! Thanks to everyone who came out. We had an awesome turnout. It's exactly what I was hoping for and that was to meet some new faces and get everyone together from the site to run the dunes! I had a great time. The dunes were perfect! I was amazed how nice they were after how Thanksgiving weekend left them. When we got there we pretty much made the first tracks on Friday morning. After a few lines were made it was on and the buggy runs were a blast. We owned those dunes. Hell, we pretty much owned all of Dumont it seemed. There were like 5 other little camps and then our giant camp full of great people. These are exactly how I like my weekends out at D. I had a handful of issues between buggy, toyhauler, and ATC70 but nothing stopped me from running and I duned until I was out of fuel on Sunday. Our last run was a blast. The weather was so nice out. It was in the upper 60's, perfect lines to follow really fast, and some good shadows. My car even cleared up from a previous hiccup and ran really well. I fell really bad for Rees (Firecracker) with his continued motor issues and Brice (sandseeker) after he smoked his clutch. Brice did get some dune time in before his let go. Then Newly ripped that arm tab off on his last run. Whoa! lol Glad it didn't happen earlier, but you know we would have gotten it handled with Lou's magical skills. Thanks again to all that came out. Over the years many have dropped off the site and they don't go out to the dunes anymore, but it seems we have a great new group of people on here along with a large handful of original members that make up a very fun group. We will have to do more group trips like this. I couldn't handle a giant camp like that every trip but it is really fun getting everyone together. This will definitely be an annual trip and then some. I didn't take nearly as many pics as usual. I rarely even pulled my camera out but I was just having too much fun. I'll post what I have though.

I have a DDR sign with an arrow that I can put out by the road after I get there too. I spoke with GTP Mike on the phone just now and he'll be there about 2. He'll get a pic posted of his rig.
-
Sounds cool, Neal. It's not really an event per say, but just a group trip. It would great to get a bunch of shots of all the buggies in action. Either you or GTP Mike will be there first. Maybe you should post a pic of your rig and sandcar so anyone else who doesn't know you can find where camp is. Works for me! I'd just like any sort of group pic in the sand.

Awesome. Vanna right? I'm trying to get better with names rather than call people by their screen names. haha

I always have a battery charger in my hauler plus jumper cables in the car at all times. I'm covered regardless. -
I am very curious what my car weighs. Even the original owner who had it built was guessing when he told me. This could be alot of fun to see what everyone's weighs.

Still holding a charge. The battery tender wasn't even kicking on anymore so I pulled it off the other day. She fires right up in 30° weather. I'd say she's good! -
Hell yeah. That would be sweet! Maybe we can make a drinking guessing game out of it. Your welcome to camp with the group. That the point of this trip, but either way looking forward to duning with ya. C6 coordinates on the grid map I made this the other day. I guess this would be a good time to post it up.
