I'm thinking late afternoon on Saturday we should get a group photo while out on a dune run. Maybe FE135 can offer his services? Otherwise I can bring my tripod. Or he should get in there too for a photo. He's always on the other side of that camera.

No code needed. You can tell them you saw the ad on DDR, but that is their winter special pricing.

ok, how about Dec 14th!??

You have got to be SO stoked. I remember when I drove my first car for the very first time. When I got back to camp I just sat there almost shaking with a gigantic smile on my face. I was so happy! I couldn't pay attention to anything else the rest of the day. The dunes were forever changed for me in the best possible way.

Sweet trip report.

Wrong topic! But thanks. It's holding a charge and doesn't look like I need one anymore.

Thanks bud -
I've been here a bunch of times while at the river, but never camped there before. We're glad to announce that Pirate Cove RV Resort is now one of our site sponsors and they are running some winter specials. It looks like an awesome place to camp and hit the trails! There are over 3,200 Miles of BLM-approved designated trails in the area of Pirate Cove RV Resort including sand dunes, historic bridges, and old mineshaft passages. This is going on the to-do list. http://piratecoveresort.com/RV_Resorthttp://piratecoveresort.com/offroad Here's their winter specials.

61 degrees this weekend for a high at Dumont. Much better than this 30's nonsense.

Well then come on out this weekend, Mark.
-
Yeah come load it up in mine before I go pay for some! (or I can pick up ) I don't need any more expenses this trip.

Sounds good, Adam.

I thought about that. Thank you. I'll chat with Richard this week and see if we can work that out. It's not the extra pass I'm worried about, it's the fact that she'll rolling out all alone out in BFE.

Thanks David -
Couldn't agree more. This is probably the one trip I'm looking forward to the most this season, although our shakedown was pretty damn epic. haha We owned those dunes! Anyways, I'm really hoping this trip brings some of the DDR regulars together in one big camp plus many many new comers that have joined up over the past year or so. New faces are very welcome and encouraged to come out and join in on the fun. Oh yeah, firewood! I was going to post the same thing. I plan to bring probably a quarter or half truck load, but we may end up burning that the first night! As of right now, after work Thursday night is the plan for me. If this week is super dead at work then I may do a half day at work on Thursday, but I'm not planning on that as of yet. Anna is actually off Sat-Sun this weekend. Can you believe that? So she'll be heading out Fri night or Sat AM to join in on the festivities. I might have to pick up an extra jar of Apple Pie to stay warm this weekend. Me, Chad (not chadwick) and JVZ sure killed off the last jar I brought out last trip. Damn that stuff is good.

I've been working on my stuff since 7am this morning and I am freakin beat! I'm not even done yet either. This week will be pretty busy for me, but I'm getting super stoked for this trip. I can't wait to get out there, get set up, and plop down in my chair around the fire with a cold one in my hand. Oh yeah, and the dune runs should be sick too. It'll be worth all the time, money, and aggravation invested so far. It always is.

I don't have much room around it either though. Remember, I have have that electrical compartment and everything is a very tight squeeze. I'll look into it, but so far it looks like the batteries took and are holding a charge. Fingers crossed. I'll be checking it every morning this week.
