  1. With the freezing temps upon us, don't forget to drain your lines in your rv/ haulers. I opened all the faucets and just drained my tanks. I worried the PVC pipe connecting the fresh tanks (at the drain) would crack. Better safe than have to add MORE crap to my toyhauller repair list.
  2. It really depends on your experience. Yes, a Tech 3 will be a more capable car, but to tell you the truth I don't know if I would have become the driver I am today without going through that transition. I'm not trying to sound full of myself, but I did learn alot. If you jump right into a car that can make up alot for driver error, you can kill yourself very easily. You become overconfident right away and tend to rely too much on your equipment. I even had to learn to respect my new car after a few "oh sh*t moments". I thought I knew it all and could handle it all. If you have little to no sandcar driving experience, it will be literally YEARS before you outgrow the Busa. Who knows, you might not ever want or need more. They really are very capable cars. Don't let the "mini" name fool ya. Either way you go, you will be happy for many years to come. They are both awesome cars at a great price and you can sell or upgrade at any time. I doubt the market will drop much more.
  3. Nope, too much to do to get ready for the following weekend! I know badass24racing is racing in it!
  4. Right on, Randizz. It was an awesome weekend. There's so much more to the weekend than duning when all the right people are there. We were still short a handful of good peeps, but it was great to finally get back out with you guys. Last season didn't work out so well for our schedule withour remodel. I hope you guys can make it out for the buggy trip. PS, very glad to hear Mark decided to keep the car. I figured that was just some typical off season thoughts. One good run with the crew and I knew he'd have to reconsider.
  5. It doesn't really matter how many show up. The more the merrier but we'll have an epic trip regardless. All I know is the dunes will be ours that weekend and we plan to run all weekend. I can't wait!
  6. Yep they are tons of fun, but in the end I wanted more car. They can definitely hang. I even lead the rides most of the time, but like you said Terry it's about comfort and control. I was driving that car at it's limits and had to be on my toes when certain hard transitions or things came up. I had very little room for error with what the car could soak up. Driving that fast in the Busa actually took more skill than with a bigger car. I am glad I made the switch. The first time I test drove my car I was sold. I was amazed how much "more car" the Tech 3 was.

  8. Go out next weekend. We'll all be out there and you can run with us. Plus it will be warmer...well a little.
  9. That one has been for sale for a while now. He posted it on here as well. Surprised it hasn't sold yet at that price. The only thing I've never liked about the Tom Pro cars are those dinky little wheel/ tires.
  10. Congratulations. Tell your buds to load those cars up so we can show them how we do it at Dumont.
  11. That car is badass! That is a really good price too. I'd be all over it if I were you. You can't beat it. I really like the wrap and would leave it alone. Looks sweet. It's a great color scheme. He did a nice job on that car. Good luck and hope to see you at the buggy roundup.
  12. Here ya go. First one is the 2009 for 29,900 Second is the 2007 for 21,500 Both badass cars and great prices. Post a pic of Brians demo car. I wonder if it's the same car i'm thinking of.
  13. Not as badass as the orange one, but also a smokin deal http://www.glamisdunes.com/invision/index.php?showtopic=293395
  14. That car is SICK. I thought it just sold recently? edit, looks like he just bought it from that guy that had it for sale. Jordan, buy that car!
  15. hahahaaa Thanks Terry. I'm just gonna take a wild guess and say he was being sarcastic. If not, I'd love to be taught how to dune! If I've been doing it wrong all these years, just imagine the possibilities. I would love to learn more! Oh and yes Jordan, had a turbo on it when I bought it.
  16. +1 on Berrymans. Why try other stuff when this stuff is tried and true? Works awesome.

  18. Agreed. In addiction to the "1st annual Buggy Roundup", it can be the official unofficial "5th annual atc70 regatta". I'll have mine out for sure that weekend. Maybe I'll even bring the projector this trip too. Who has a big stacker trailer we can use for the screen?
  19. After talking with a couple guys in our group last weekend looks like a couple might have to bail out but we should still have a good turnout for this. It's right around the corner and I'm stoked to get back out especially on an off weekend with no crowds. I have a few minor things to get ready on the car and she's ready for more.
  20. As already mentioned Tom Pro or King. I used to own a Short Sandcar and I kept breaking it. Not knocking Larry's work, I just feel my driving style was more aggressive than anyone else that has owned one because I broke things nobody else did. I busted many spindles, a rear hub carrier, and a few frames as a result of the spindle failures. I finally had him built a custom car to my specs: http://www.dumontduneriders.com/ssc_buildup.html and it did great! http://www.dumontduneriders.com/ssc-perf-review.html That last Busa SSC car was dialed in great and the only reason I ended up selling it was because I still wanted to step it up to the next level and that was a full size turbo Honda car. I saw the Tech 3 turbo Honda for sale and had to have it. It had better suspension, front brakes, reverse, better charging (an alternator), it was a bit safer and heavier to soak things up and it had alot more power. Busa cars are a blast to drive. It all boils down to your driving style. If I were to buy a Busa car again I think it would be a King. Brian (the owner) is a duner himself and those guys rail out there. I've seen them in the dunes and they drive pretty similar to our group.
  21. That's exactly what I thought and recommended he stock some. Can't believe more vendors don't carry them either.
  22. A couple things but I heard there was some unapproved/ non-permitted filming going on.
