  1. I don't feel like typing a novel so I will just touch on some of the great parts of the weekend. It was great getting back out and running with the crew again. Weather was epic Broke a few things and had plenty of stupid small issues, but nothing that ruined the trip or stopped me from running or having fun killed another mason jar of Apple Pie. Damn that stuff is smooth although Whitney doesn't think so. JVZ (Jason) did a damn good job with his sandcar. He just upgraded to a Mendi trans and had to do ALOT of mods to make it work. He had zero issues all weekend. I'm thinking he should be a mechanic instead of a realtor, although that would be a bad move. haha The late night conversations never get dull around the fire. #dirtywordsaroundchadskid #sorry #notsorry #zerofucksgiven LOL! Jason was on a roll. Hilarious night. tore up dunes but thankful for long travel. The car handled it great. I'm doing a top to bottom bolt check though! Lindsay B is not only a great rider but kills it behind the wheel too. Good to see a couple legendary vertical Randog wheelies! GTP Offroad seemed to be a popular spot for duners. That's great to see. Holidays aren't my choice for dune weekends, but it's great running into friends everywhere you go. Nothing like pulling up to the north pole and having tons of friends from different groups out there to say hi to and chat with. Except barefoot bob. mafaka! He needs to get back out there. Overall it was a great weekend and best of all everyone I know got home safely. Time to get crackin on my list of stuff to roll back out on the 13th for the buggy roundup!
  2. Here's a few random pics. The rest are on my photography site. (link below the pics) JVZ's new paint job! Joe Duner sighting! lvnalolife and family TRACKED out dunes Vendor row Chillen on top of a dune. The rest are here... http://www.actionshutter.net/SandSports-1/Dumont-Dunes-Thanksgiving-2013/
  3. This person posted it up on our facebook page as well. The description was white with no case.
  4. BLM holiday pass dates are Dec 28-Jan 3rd. We're going out Dec 26-Dec 29. Kinda sucks we won't actually be there on NYE, but that's cool. It gives us a chance to celebrate in town.
  5. Right on. It's always good to see a dune run from a different view. I always have mine running but it doesn't get much when I'm leading which is almost every time. This trip I pointed it backwards and got some great stuff like when we flopped over comp.
  6. Sweet! Agreed. Awesome weekend, Nick.
  7. Cool no problem, Andy! Thank you.
  8. Less crowd than past years, but still a decent turnout. I think the only major accident that was reported was the one Wed night. The waterpumpers ran the hill climbs on Saturday. Weather was epic. Dunes were tore up real good but the car took them pretty well. Glad I left the bike at home. Vendor row was a good turnout I thought. I'll post up more later. I took some pics.
  9. Just heard that the helicopter flew in and landed around 11:00 pm. There was also an accident reported at comp hill. I'm guessing they are related. Someone went to the ranger station and there were no rangers there yet so they called 911. My opinion is that if there is an additional fee is during a specific holiday date range (BECAUSE of extra staffing) then there should be some sort of BLM or EMT staff. After all that's supposedly why it costs more right? They know there are thousands of people there all week.
  10. On the Dexter site it told me to measure the equalizer, not the axle. Is that what you did? It says I need this one, http://www.nickstruckparts.com/k71-656-00.html and that it will lower my trailer about an inch. Not a bad price though.
  11. Cooks ice is usually always there for T Day. We shall see though. Thanks for the update, Jodi!
  12. Found out the answer to your question the other day. There will not be an OHV class over Thanksgiving. The deputy who usually puts on the class is needed for patrol over the weekend. It is strongly recommended that everyone interested in the class stop by the Sheriff's Command Post and ask for the Watch Commander to express your desire for the class. State Parks give the San Bernardino Sheriff's Dept grants to work Dumont and part of the criteria is public education, which includes the OHV class. With everyone's help, it can be brought back.
  13. It was just bladed this morning. Got that from 2 sources.
  14. Update from this afternoon. Our automated DDR drone/ dune robot has been driving around snapping pics.
  15. It was an extremely sarcastic joke.
  16. Thanks Mark. Still waiting to hear what mom's dinner plans are if any. I'll be in touch!
  17. Yikes, some of those shackles and parts look like they were about to ruin a dune trip. I've been there before. I talked with barefoot bob just a couple days ago. He's no longer going out for Tday. He said that plan got rear ended. :porn: lol
  18. The sand is going to be tore the hell up over Tday weekend. Reconsidering even going.
  19. ^ what he said! haha http://www.dumontduneriders.com/invision/index.php?showtopic=19006
