  1. That's even more bad news. I just read on FB a girl said the female was wearing her belts but they were very loose. There is so much info being passed around. It's hard to tell what information is true. I would still really like to know how exactly this whole accident happened so it could be prevented in the future. I have lots of questions. I feel terrible for those who were involved. It sounds like this could have been easily prevented.
  2. Not everyone can afford a high power diesel with all the bells and whistles, especially the way they are priced these days. I say as long as it's safe and they aren't impeding traffic then ok. BUT, when they block traffic going that slow up a 2 lane 55 mph speed limit highway, not cool. That's when people start trying to pass and it becomes dangerous. There's not many trucks with haulers or rv's that can do the speed limit going up Potisi towards Pahrump, but at least there is a passing lane.
  3. fixed. You had to edit then go to full editor to edit topic title.
  4. Let's hear about it. Post up what you've got from your weekend out there. Here's a few pics to start it off. camp area Halloween moon! GTP Mike & Adam at the north pole on a cruise on Wednesday GTP Offorad on vendor row
  5. Very sorry for your loss, Max. Truly tragic.
  6. I heard the same. Sand YFZ (Aaron) was one of the first responders. He said it looked like the female passenger either wasn't belted in or or the belts failed. He said it was pretty bad. I won't go into more details either. He mentioned it looked as if he rode right off the top of the razorback and it rolled about 3 times. It was very hard for the group to see. Aaron sat with the girl's friend as she sat pleading for her to stay with them. This is a very sad deal. It's never easy to hear about these things and it's hard for me to understand how they happen. Safety is a huge thing for me. I always try to figure out what went wrong in order for such terrible accidents to happen.
  7. I don't know for sure, but by the looks of a comment that was made on Facebook it seems the passenger might not have made it. ??
  8. They swerved to miss another rail and over corrected and went over the razor and flipped in the air ....she was bad he was OK but some bad gashes on the knees from the dash ...
  9. Already heard about a bad sandrail accident involving a purple Funco. At least one person, maybe more, are hurt. They were waiting for the helicopter to show up. I guess they came in too hot in a turn or off a razor and ripped part of the front of the car and rolled. Hopefully everyone comes out ok! Be extra careful people.
  10. It's official. The road is as smooth as butter. 25 mph with a toyhauler.
  11. That's ridiculous. Really? Someone is gonna see a quad on DDR they want to steal, THEN drive out and find it in a crowd of 20,000 duners. Talk about being paranoid what you post on the internet! I think this is taking it a bit too far.
  12. This topic is for updates, not paving techniques. Lol According to my buddy who rolled in this morning, the grader is working on it now.
  13. It's only been a couple weeks. Just gotta be patient these days. A buyer will come along. It's a nice car and still cheaper than most RZRs!
  14. That would be me. Email pete@dumontduneriders.com for advertising inquiries. We have a few spaces left.
  15. No, I brought every GoPro accessory and mount that I owned but left the damn camera on my desk at home!
  16. Joe here's that original thread I started which I believe you are referring to. Maybe as we get more info throughout the week we should bump it to keep that sucker going with updates. http://www.dumontduneriders.com/invision/index.php?showtopic=9696&hl=
  17. One more thing it could be... I have a squeaking noise coming from mine when walking on the floor. One of the bolts came loose that secure the frame outriggers to the floor above one of the wheels. There is no way to tighten the damn thing either. Drives me nuts and I don't know what to do in order to take care of it.
  18. Srpung spring sound? I'm not sure what kind of sound you mean, but get underneath the trailer and take a good look at all the leaf springs, cross-bracing and brackets. Mine just had all kinds of broken stuff underneath and it's well maintained too. Toyhaulers suck.
  19. You can use mine. I'll have to grab it from my trailer at my buddy's house but it's not a problem. He lives very closeby here in Henderson. Just let me know when you want to pick it up.
  20. Thanks! It's a Honda 3.5 running about 7-10 psi of boost. It's too bad you couldn't make it out. It was a nice weekend.
  21. They need to make up their minds. They were contacted months ago with the question regarding which weekend it was and they said BEFORE. Whatever, people are going when they're going regardless. Vendors will still be there too. As for the road, I went extremely slow (5-10 mph most of the way) and it still snapped one of my springs. Going slow is still very hard on toyhaulers.
  22. I never saw you stopped let alone heard you.
  23. See I THOUGHT that was you! I even mentioned it to Terry, but I figured there was no way a friend would have just cruised on by us without stopping to say hi! LOL I hear ya though. Was Bud out there with you in his red car? I think he tried jumping in line with us but stopped and gave up. haha Same here! Great races.
