  1. Looks like a fun little machine and seems to be priced fair. U-joints are not the best setup but may be ok in this little car. It depends on what angle those axles get to be at full compression/ droop. You could always upgrade to CV's later down the road if they become a problem. I've never heard of that motor so I can't comment whether or not it's decent or not.
  2. OK, back on topic here....SAND. I'm really looking forward to this trip. The weather looks awesome and we should have a decent group of buggies. As it stands right now, my buddy Ryan and Randy are both in for at least the day Friday with their cars. OGP is even talking about trying to swing a day trip on Friday! WhOa. :saywha: I still have to bail on Saturday because I'm not missing Monster Energy Cup. HOWEVER, today I decided to take all of Thursday off and head our first thing in the morning. Terry and I should be ripping before noon.
  3. Over the weekend I found some busted up (and missing) frame cross-bracing on the toyhauler. Yeah, not good especially since I'm leaving in just a couple days for Dumont. However, after contacting Dale at H Town Performance he told me to bring it right down. Not only did he get me in right away, he fixed it up better than new and for a fair price. Not only do those guys build some very nice UTV cages, but they can tackle jobs like this with ease. So may this be a friendly reminder to those who own toyhaulers; crawl under that thing every now and then and look it over really good for cracks. It doesn't matter what brand- they are all junk and they take a beating with all the weight we put in them and then drag it down that beat up road at Dumont. Thanks again, Dale and the rest of guys down at H Town. You rock.
  4. Your friend probably grabbed that off DDR's facebook page. That info is correct.A few DDR people were out there over the weekend and they reported the bathrooms are in fact unlocked, open and clean. There is also no need for a pass at this time during the shutdown.
  5. I dunno I think he might even be going out for Halloween and no word from that mafaka on here. wtf Bob?
  6. Hmm, so this pretty much adds to Terry's post and confirms the no need for a pass during the shutdown. Thanks for the pics, JJ. lol
  7. I have never seen any of the Glamis craziness on any of the weekends I have gone. I've been on an off-weekend in March and multiple times on New Years- always very tame and never anything bad expect for the cops that are way too strict over stupid stuff. The majority of the people at Dumont has always been respectful people in my opinion. You'll always get one or two jerks in the crowd, but that's just society. Dumont is happy and friendly. I think you'll be happy to call it home, Newly. The crazy holiday weekends are sort of over. I believe those days are gone for a little while. Things have sort of calmed down out there (in a good way) and it seems most the people who go out now are Dumont veterans, ya know- the people who just can't live without the place no matter what the economy does.
  8. I don't know about "spoil", but it sure does sound pretty cool up there. Even though I'm sure St Anthony is super badass, I believe each place offers very different and unique things that no other dunes can offer.
  9. Happy birthday, Terry. Another year in the books. Let's dune!
  10. Lookin good! I want to upgrade to some LED bars soon too.
  11. I got the joke. These stickers are great for covering up those Ford emblems.
  12. awesome, man! Can I buy some DDR stickers from you?
  13. Yeah, ya know, the same logo that we've had for....oh say the past 8 years?
  14. Sounds good. So far the list is as follows... In for sure: you, me, ynot, and nwtdiesel The list of maybes: my buddy Randy with a Buckshot, FlyinRyan, OGP. Randy said he's really gonna try but I really have my doubts about Tim and Ryan going. We'll see. I hope they can make it! I'm off at noon on Thursday so Terry and I should be pulling in before sundown, hopefully with enough time for a quick putt putt. Email sent
  15. Nice! No stickers at the moment. I've been working on that. I've been out for a while. Sticker guys are super flaky! I can send you the file if you want to have your guy print you some.
  16. Does anyone know if the on-site pay machines are functional during the shutdown? I have people asking me and have no idea.
  17. My car is all ready to go! Just gotta pull the hauler out and go through and get it prepped. I hope the weather in one week is as good as it is today.
  18. Makes you wonder how the heck the BLM is distributing the passes to the vendors. I bought mine from BLM before the vendors had them, but #0001 went out to a vendor? Strange.
  19. Thanks for the advise, guys. Got it installed and it fits great.
  20. Thanks for the report and great pics, Jodi. Ya got me jonzing for my first trip now.
  21. Damn Jakster. Wake up call for sure. Glad it was caught in time. Definitely time to get a little extra cardio in every week and watch what ya eat. There's too much convenient food these days that is labeled healthy and it is not. Load up on fresh fruits and vegetables- that is some heart disease fighting stuff! Take care of yourself bud.
