  1. I talked with Randog last night and it sounds like him and the crew are in as well. Let's start discussing a date? What do you guys think? Keeping in mind that alot of guys hit the holidays, let's plan an off weekend in between. How about sometime in early December?
  2. Excellent. It's already shaping up to be a great group!
  3. Ha! Yeah true, but they're already advertising the 2014 raffle buggy. Maybe side x side owners will by raffle tickets in hopes to win it, sell it and buy a tricked out hay hauler.
  4. They clog up at the fuel inlet where the altitude adjustment needle is. The mixture control solenoid sometimes requires a good spraying of carb cleaner and a whack on the bench. They don't sell rebuilds kits for these, but there really aren't any parts inside a little carb like this. Just pull the float bowl off and clean it out. I bought one of these carbs once (for a 5500). I believe it was about $180 new through Camping World.
  5. Was there a raffle buggy this year or was it just the farm equipment giveaway?
  6. It really is just a matter of preference. They both do what they do well. I still to this day don't understand why people think Raptors are tippy. I feel a Raptor is way more stable especially at speed than a little 450 but that's just me.
  7. Post up a photo now. The winner's dune pic will be posted on the homepage after the contest is over. The member's screen name will be posted up with it as well. You may also post a caption or description included with the pic. Dune Pic of the Month- Rules 1. The picture must be YOURS. Do not go surfing the internet looking for one to submit. You cannot post any copyrighted pics. 2. The picture must not have any watermarks or logos on it. 3. The picture must be at least 600 x 600 pixels. It will be displayed on the home page if it wins the most votes so therefore we would like it to be a decent size picture. 4. The picture must abide by the terms and conditions (rules) of this board. 5. Post only ONE picture per contest
  8. Tecopa shows 88°F for Monday. Still dune-able. If I was in town, I'd be down for a day trip.
  9. Here ya go, Joe. Barstow BLM office (760) 252-6000 Their info is always listed on the Dumont Info page, http://www.dumontduneriders.com/dumont_info.html
  10. Paul and Brice made it in the latest issue of Sand Sports Mag. I like this new duner highlight feature. Way to go, guys! And great photos, FE135.
  11. I just called and ordered my season pass from the BLM. They said there is no discount this year because they are under new management. Lame.
  12. Post up a trip report or just some pics in the other areas section like I do with my dual sport rides. We'd love to see em.
  13. BA Berrrrrrrt! Bert uses one of those flag poles from the local park on his car.
  14. ok, that's the one I was eyeing anyways. They make a perfect sized one that is close to my current filter size but maybe a little bigger in diameter. It has the inner structure too. Summit sells them a bit cheaper than AEM and also has the outwear/ wraps.
  15. Should I get the red one or gray Brute Force? Looks like the red ones have the metal screen and only some of the gray Brute Force ones have the inner structure support. Durable AEM Universal Clamp-on Air FiltersAEM Universal Clamp-on air filters come in two basic types. Our standard Dryflow® air filter has screen wire for rigid structural strength. These filters have a thick red colored oil-free filtering media. Our other clamp-on air filter is our Brute Force Dryflow® air filter. It is a durable filter that is a favorite in rough, dusty racing conditions. These filters have a gray colored filtering media. They are very durable but not as rigid (???) since they don't contain screen. There is no risk of filter damage during shipping, installation or cleaning. These Dryflow® filters will retain their shape and performance even after abuse. Most Brute Force Dryflow filter elements are reinforced with a lightweight mineral-reinforced plastic cage that maintains the element’s structural integrity and prevents the filter from collapsing from flow demands.
  16. Those are nice. The first one is very similar to a framed photo I have in my house. Popular shot. I bought it at an art fair.
  17. I have a cone shaped K&N air filter that mounts to the 2 3/4" inlet on my turbo. I run an outerwear but I am not a big fan of K&N filters. Anyone know where I can find a dual stage foam filter to replace it?
