  1. I already shared your FB post in the lost/ found section. Keep looking. He likely come around. Good luck!
  2. We got word of the Flight for Life helicopter landing on Friday. A friend of his reached out to us to let us know what happened. His buddy was in a turbo RZR that he just bought 3 weeks ago, but was an experienced duner. He let off a bit too early at the top of Comp and the RZR rolled 13 times down the dune. He suffered a broken arm in two places, major head swelling and a gouge to the right eye. Wishing him a speedy recovery! That sand sounds sketchy this weekend. It's wet and slick but grabs quick once you get down into it just a little bit. Photo from @Short Bus Ice Cream
  3. It's cold as hell in Vegas today. I bet those dune rides are chilly. Still better than being at work or home though! Thanks for the updates, Jodi.
  4. Awesome. Enjoy! I hope you get the parts you need for the buggy. Thanks for posting up!
  5. yep, it's back open and I updated the post. Thanks Gerald.
  6. Friday 10:18 AM UPDATE I-15/ Mountain Pass and SR-164 have re-opened, however there still may be some delays. For those who are heading out today, you can check the NDOT website for road closures. Also, Google Maps should have the traffic layer up to date with any closures. Mt Potosi/ SR-160 is open. Lots of snow on the mountain, but the road is plowed and clear. Current closures as of 7AM, Friday I-15 South leaving Vegas. It is expected to re-open today, but expect long delays. SR-164 leaving Searchlight towards Nipton Check NDOT's site for up to the minute conditions as they may change. https://www.nvroads.com/icx/pages/incidentlist.aspx feature photo: Cal Trans
  7. I believe Mt Potosi is open but I-15 south leaving Vegas is closed until noon. SR-164 leaving Searchlight towards Nipton is also closed.
  8. Getting a few reports of full 5 bars, text, video, etc just about everywhere in Dumont. I think Verizon is up and running on the new tower as of this week. 👍🏻
  9. I love chill days like that. Enjoy!
  10. Those are awesome, Neal. Thanks! BTW, your FE135 link isn't working, but https://www.nealrideoutphotography.com/buggyroundup2019 works ok.
  11. Sweet. Thanks for posting that up, Jason. Great meeting you.
  12. Those were badass, Jason. I should have stopped to watch but we went duning and I broke my car instead. LOL

MLK Weekend is Jan 18-20, 2020 Holiday passes are required
  14. This year (and decade!) is coming to a close! 2020 is almost here and many are gearing up to ring in the new year at Dumont. New Year's Eve is on Tuesday night this year. Being smack dab in the middle of the week, many duners have been asking us when the official New Year's weekend is. The answer to that is whenever you want it to be! I recently took a poll though and most people will be going out the weekend before. So I guess you can say the official weekend is before. Stay warm this New Year's! Be sure to fill your propane tanks and check your battery levels as it is usually one of the coldest weekends of the season. Don't lose your pups! Every New Year's weekend people light off fireworks. Dogs get scared and run off. Be sure your dog is always on a leash or inside at night. LED collars are a good idea and GPS trackers are even better if they go missing. Party Gear Get festive, pop a bottle, and make some noise around the fire. Tag #dumontduneriders in your New Year's photos on Instagram. New Year's topic Going out? Chime in.
  15. Why do you say that, cell tower boy? LOL And yes, it's a recent pic. Tower is up though.
  16. Lots of people are asking us lately when New Year's weekend is. It's whichever weekend you go!
  17. As of Dec 15th, the tower still wasn't up and running. Kinda strange how we were told that everything was done, but then we saw a bunch of solar up there over Buggy Roundup. Then we got this message on our FB. So NOW we wait. lol Whatever
  18. I've been thinking about getting a kit like this for our Sprinter van. It removes the valve core so they deflate much faster than the ones that screw on to the valve. Looks pretty easy. https://amzn.to/2Q29c6Y
  19. Probably the Tecopa Hot Springs Resort. I'd just fill up at home though. The weight savings is not worth the added time and detour.
  20. Saturday night flipcup... Camp photos from @bp-guy
  21. Saturday sunset cruise. I broke a tab on the way back. We ratchet strapped it up and I stopped of at Sunset hill where most of the group was hanging out.
  22. Quick Saturday afternoon group dune run after Dune Trivia...
