  1. This is absolute BS. I understand that this Christopher Dorner guy needs to be stopped, however these detectives/ cops need to be fired for unloading gunfire on innocent people in trucks that don't even match the description of the truck they were looking for! I'm sure the media isn't telling the whole story, but what reason did they have for drawing their weapons and actually pulling the trigger? It was two Latina ladies delivering newspapers, not a large black guy with guns. Un-freakin-real! So any of you guys out there that drive trucks and live near LA, I'd stay home for a few days if I were you. http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/02/07/16888732-women-shot-by-cops-were-just-delivering-papers?lite
  2. Badass bike! Those triples sound SO sweet.
  3. Happy birthday, JJ. Damn, you're getting old! Ahh crap, that means I am too!
  4. I want to go. Does that count? I could really use some sand.
  5. I love that you took 2 of the most dangerous things out there, 3 wheelers and CR500's, and combined the 2 together. That's badass! hahaa
  6. No, not really. It's all about convenience. Time=money for may people. Sounds like it was $ well spent in 1320's case.
  7. Mike is the winner. Homepage updated! Refresh if it doesn't show up upon first click.
  8. Looks like a sh*t load of hookup! The top looks like it almost launched a few guys.
  9. Johnny Walker fixed mine when that happened. They cut out and removed the fitting and glued in an oversized fitting. There is a small chance you may need a new tank if they can't repair it.
  10. I've heard of it and do so already, but wasn't sure if it was a law that was officially passed yet. I pisses me off when I see people blast past people on the shoulder when there is clearly enough room to get over. One time I saw a car pass a cop who had someone pulled over on St Rose Pkwy. He flew past him at about 55 mph. The cop ran back to his car and chased after him. The guy in the car pulled into the same parking lot that we did and the cop came FLYING in, got out of his car and bitched the guy out big time. lol He didn't ticket him but I heard him explain how he is required to slow down or get over.
  11. Jeez. We were just giving you crap. You took it too far with the threats.
  12. ^ That was the longest sentence I have ever read! But yes, I agree. However, it hasn't all of a sudden become that way. That's just how they are on the holiday weekends. Well, most of them that is. Not all are jerks. It's nothing new though. Seems to be a different different group of leo's out there on the holidays. Another reason I don't go anymore.
  13. Thanks so much for doing this, Terry. Your hard work and dedication to Dumont is very much appreciated. Not many people give you the pat on the back that you deserve for going to these meetings time and time again. I hope all goes well and the new managers of the Barstow office are even half as cool as Roxie and Larry were. We were very luck to have them.
  14. That had to be a wild ride rolling down that hill. That is a steep dune! I'm glad they were both ok.
  15. This is going to be a hoot. All of those who were disappointed that there will be no more official Dumont regatta some plan to attend. I am going try my hardest to make it.
  16. Squeals? Is there any run time on this motor after repairing it? What exactly was done to the motor when it was out? Were any abrasive disks used when cleaning the engine? If the pickup tube was pulled then I would definitely check that first if you think it has an oil pressure issue. Curious what exactly was done though first.
  17. I'd love to but we're actually headed to the other coast and beyond next month so Pismo will have to wait a lil while longer. One if these days though!
  18. This morning JJ's (lvnalolife's) father in law, Chuck, passed away in his sleep. Those of you who were lucky enough to have known Chuck or had the opportunity to hang out with him at Dumont know he was truly an incredible guy. He was one of those genuine people who always had a smile on his face and was fun to be around. He has been an avid duner for years. Dune trips will not be the same without him around the fire. He leaves behind his loving wife of 34 years, 2 sons, 2 daughters, grandchildren, and many many family and friends who loved him. I know this is going to be very hard on JJ and his family. My thoughts are with them in this difficult time. Chuck left this world all too soon.
