It is GORGEOUS out here today. We just got back at 11am from being out in the dunes for about 2 hrs. The dunes are very smooth and razored out...nothing like Halloween. I feel sorry for those coming out for Tday. These dunes are gonna be jacked from all the duning we're doing.
Man. I never thought I would hear you say that. This sucks. Every single "tres hermano" has completely gotten out of tearing it up in a sandrail. Ahh the good ole days...long gone. Miss ya, buddy.
That was last weekend at Gordon's. It was Veterans weekend but that isn't even a busy place let alone busy weekend. Busy weekend or not...it can happen any time. It only takes one guy making a bad call.
Anytime you are running boost, whether it be a turbo or S/C, you are going to usually need to run a race gas.
I am running a turboed 3.5 Honda on 10lbs of boost. I could turn it down and run 91 octane, but don't be ridiculous.
I know this has been floating around quite a bit today, but for those who haven't seen it yet it is worth watching. It shows just how dangerous it can be to fly off a blind razor with no spotter. Be careful out there, guys.
This dude was extremely lucky and it could have been much worse.

I am so looking forward to shredding some sand without a bunch of tunnel-vision morons in the dunes.
Anyone else heading out this weekend? At this point it's looking like Fri-Monday for us.
Oh man! Sorry to hear about this, Andy. Like raspadoo said, children can overcome the impossible. I'm sending positive vibes your way and look forward to hearing about him getting past all this.
Pretty cool. I'll have to keep an eye out.
Has anyone else seen the Corona commercial lately? There is a clip of some sandboarders and it has to be Dumont. The steep, tall dunes and mountains in the background are a dead giveaway.
