Dumont BLM/ sub group/ public saturday meeting
dunefreak replied to dunefreak's topic in Dumont Regulations, Safety & BLM
Even more reason to come on out. Let's plan to meet somewhere before leaving town and roll together. Sofar its me, ynot, and sdaddict in his truck. Sounds like he might have room for you as well unless it's spoken for. Maybe ynot can chime in to verify. -
Looks incredible, Tim! You did an amazing job. Lots of nice touches. I wanna see a smoky burnout pic one of these days! yiah That thing is super clean. Not overdone like alot of people do too.

There's gotta be an easier/ more practical way to save a damn picture drom a text. Lol There's no way the updated version of the already easy to use Droid could be so complicated.
-
Wierd. This sounds gay, but check the Droid forums. Yes, there is such a thing. Lol
-
Just press and hold on the pic. Then save or copy to sdcard.
-
Just curious which resources everyone uses to access DDR. You can select more than one.
-
Right on Neal. Let us know if you have any questions with it. Most of us are very familiar with our Android phones by now. Tiered data plans? Eff that. I'll cancel the phones all together and go back to having a beeper for $5/ month like back in the day! hahaa I pay enough as it is.

Dumont BLM/ sub group/ public saturday meeting
dunefreak replied to dunefreak's topic in Dumont Regulations, Safety & BLM
Eff you. If your a$$ gets any bigger you'll be in the back...in the BED! -
Just a reminder as we get closer to July 9th, the saturday BLM/ Sub-group meeting is coming up. I call shotgun in ynot's truck. This is a good chance for all of those who would like to get involved, listen to what BLM has going on behind the scenes at Dumont, or would just like to make some comments/ suggestions. Whatever reason, it would show the BLM our appreciation for having these occasional Saturday meetings so we can attend. It's good to stay involved on some level with the BLM if you go to Dumont. It raises awareness of issues and helps duners become more proactive / responsible so we can enjoy our dunes for many years to come. So let's get as many DDR people together as we can this go around. As we figure out what kind of turnout we are going to have, we should plan something afterwards like lunch or drinks someplace. 10:00 AM / Saturday July 9th, 2011 2601 Barstow Rd Barstow, CA 92311 Here are the directions... http://www.dumontdun..._July_9th,_2011 Who's in???

'Jackass' Star Ryan Dunn Dies In Car Crash
dunefreak replied to Sincity_blondie's topic in General Chat
It was also posted that the waitresses in the bar said he appeared to be his normal self and not intoxicated at all when he left the bar. Who knows if alcohol was a factor at all. Just because he was drinking doesn't mean that is why he crashed. I bet he was haulin a$$ or something because the cops said it looked like excessive speed played a major role in the crash. They came up on the car on fire out in the woods. -
I don't know anyone with an x2 yet, but I love my Droid 2. I know the Thunderbolt is the sh*t as well. ISBB loves his.
-
fixed it for ya Neal. We'll have to remove that. That was for jr1208 a while back when he would comment on every single thread with a "x2" It got rather annoying. hahaa

'Jackass' Star Ryan Dunn Dies In Car Crash
dunefreak replied to Sincity_blondie's topic in General Chat
I've been in shock all day about this. I don't know why. I didn't know the dude personally, but I guess after watching those guys over the past 10 years or so you start to feel like you almost know them personally. This sucks. He was a funny dude and will be missed by many. RIP Ryan. -
BMX action and another great Authority Zero concert
dunefreak replied to sand chick's topic in General Chat
Nice! Looks like a great time. I wanted to hit that up. VGS and AZ....badass. -
Out of all these pics of gorgeous dunes and you two are talking about the ENTRANCE ROAD? Really? Wow. It wasn't even bad.
-
Great job, Neal. Those turned out nice! Doesn't seem like that many people showed up that night. Was the hill lit up or was that lighting yours? Some of those guys' choices of riding gear crack me up. Still no lights on those bikes either. Not too smart for racing at night. Now I know why they wanted it hush hush.
-
Hahaa I don't think so. Im pretty sure we abused them all.

So Saturday Chad and I noticed something when sitting on comp hill. hat the huge, dangerous canyon that sandrails have been hitting is shifting to the right and slowly going away. Last season I thought it was getting worse, but as of Saturday it's basically gone. The wind has shifted it upwards and made it almost like a small corridor to go over comp. Good thing too because a lot of people were coming dangerously close to going into it like Grimace did. This is all that is left of it.
-
Not sure why everyone wanted to keep things hush hush. ??? Like I posted earlier, it's not illegal to go out there and race.
-
Right on Terry. Glad you got it handled especially in time for your trip!
-
Devil bugs? Is that what they're really called? Either way, they suck! I hear ya.
-
Thanks for taking those awesome shots of me on my Raptor. You got some good ones!

This bowl is getting bigger and bigger! Looking south The south pole Lots of green! The military mailbox. Chadwick playing aroun Sitting on comp hill. Empty camp area 4 miles of awesome Top of the world! Taking in the view. Back at camp. Neal showed up! He took his Xterra out to play a little. A couple hill shooters started to show up for the night drags.

Hell yeah what a great sand fix. Those dunes were super technical to ride, but it sure was fun! As Chad said, not nearly as fast as our usual rides. I just love being out there though early in the morning in the middle of summer. The view of those smooth, untouched dunes with the sun coming up is just priceless. The temperatures were very bearable and the wind wasn't too bad. That breeze kept things cool. It was about 72 when we pulled in about 6AM and it was still only 95 when we left at 1PM. There were a few gusts that got annoying, but they let up and it wasn't too bad. There was only one other truck out there when we got there and then a few started pulling in late morning. Yeah that damn pipe busted right off after the first jump. Good thing I had a ratchet strap. haha poor Raptor. That thing is beat down but she still goes and goes! Can't believe I've been riding that thing nonstop and hard as hell since 03! Oh yeah...Chad got stung by a bee right in the tittie! Damn, those things were all over out there. Wassup with that? Sand and some sage and that's about it. What are they doing out there? We killed about 3 of them at the truck. Chad, thanks for coming out bro. There aren't many people who will wake up before 4AM on a Saturday and drive a couple hours just to go tear it up for half a day's worth of good riding in the sand. It's too bad ISBB and a few others couldn't make it but we'll do another one soon! I took a ton of pics with both cameras. I'll post those up next.
