  1. Check out the video on this site! http://gizmodo.com/#!5781566/this-is-the-scariest-first+person-video-of-the-japan-tsunami-yet
  2. Very cool, Randy. Gotta love duning a minivan.
  3. http://www.msnbc.msn...ific/?GT1=43001 "Shiomi said that even if there was a meltdown, it wouldn't affect humans outside a six-mile (10-kilometer) radius." "Some 3,000 people within two miles (three kilometers) of the plant were urged to leave their homes, but the evacuation zone was more than tripled to 6.2 miles (10 kilometers) after authorities detected eight times the normal radiation levels outside the facility and 1,000 times normal inside Unit 1's control room."
  4. I've been watching that on the news following. Scary stuff! Hopefully they get it under control. They keep saying it shouldn't be a problem, but at the same time they are evacuating the area.
  5. Some of the same this same footage was used in the first video, but check out those waves and also at 1:50 those houses getting demolished. damn! <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/w3AdFjklR50" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe>
  6. Watching the videos and looking at the pics, it blows me away the power of mother nature. That has got to be scary as sh*t to see first hand all that water and rubble sweeping across the land. <object width="420" height="245" id="msnbc5d3bc6" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=10,0,0,0"><param name="movie" value="http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/32545640"><param'>http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/32545640"><param name="FlashVars" value="launch=42030003&width=420&height=245"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="wmode" value="transparent"><embed name="msnbc5d3bc6" src="http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/32545640" width="420" height="245" flashvars="launch=42030003&width=420&height=245" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" wmode="transparent" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash"></object> Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy
  7. Way to go, Crowdog! Way cool of you. You da man! March 10, 2011 - The American Sand Association is honored to welcome Jon Crowley to its Board of Directors. Crowley specializes in media relations specifically for internet based outlets and is currently the editor ofwww.UTVGuide.net andwww.DuneGuide.com websites respectively. Crowley has taken over the position held by Michael Sommer of Sand Sports Magazine. When asked why he wanted to be a part of the aSa board, Crowley stated, “I love the dunes and off-roading and want to make sure we keep as much of our land open to OHV use as possible. Our access to public lands is continually under threat of closure and it is important that enthusiast mobilize and act to keep our land open to UHV use. The American Sand Association is a key component of this for the Imperial Sand Dunes, and I felt it was time to step up and do my part." Crowley resides in Northern California and will serve a two-year term. http://news.duneguide.com/2011/03/jon-crowley-joins-american-sand.html
  8. Even more exposure from the regatta is floating around. Thanks Jon! http://duneguide.com/TripReport-Dumont-ATC70-3rd-Annual.htm Thanks again to Carol and Chris for the coverage and writeup.
  9. It's cleanup weekend. It's March. Temps will be in the 70's and 80's soon. Someone had to say it, but dune season at Dumont is almost over. This sucks! Although I'm looking forward to spring time and some Coral Pink runs, it's sad to see the season end. It's been a bitchen one though to say the least. I've made lots of quality trips for 10-11 and have gotten very comfortable with my (somewhat new to me) rail. I feel like I can go duning blind folded out there now. Those dunes are so familiar. I love it. It's allowed me to concentrate more on going big and taking chances I would have never imagined years ago. Gettin ballsy I tell ya! Anyways, just thought I'd remind everyone the season is almost over.
  10. Hot off the press. I don't care but some might. http://www.atvridero...iled/index.html Pretty cool looking though.
  11. Yep, we now have a topic for this whack job. What do you think about him? Is he your hero? Or is he a complete loser? I know one thing...he's been entertaining the hell out of me. Those videos he's posted up are hilarious. Only a crackhead could come up with the random sh*t that flies out of his mouth. Well, that or someone addicted to Angry Birds game. That first video reminds me of the movie, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. All funny aside, it's very sad because I've had friends and close ones go through this exact same stuff with that garbage. 12. HELLLLL yeah. And there's a freakin monkey in it! <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/PB0fCP7Nj3w" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe>
  13. Heck yeah Andy. These would be perfect for the 70!
  14. It doesn't say anything about a winner yet and the voting still hasn't closed, but I think I won.
  15. From what I understand the G in 3G, 4G etc is just "generation" so that could mean different speeds across different carriers right? So a "G" isn't really a technical term to describe speed right? Correct me if I'm wrong here.
  16. Yep, my Droid2 is super fast on 3G and gets killer signal out there. And as for wifi, so many places like restaurants and stuff have it now. I just started using mine when at the bar or wherever when I'm bringing up pics to show people and it is blazing fast over wifi. You'd be surprised how many places have strong wifi signal that is unlocked for public use.
  17. hahaa thanks guys. It made my day just to see that I was nominated. It's cool to see how much the regatta means to everyone and that I was a part of it.
  18. It doesn't matter how fast 3G is on AT&T when you have no signal at all.
  19. You don't really need a 4 bolt main block for that. Some people think you do, but I have seen 2 bolt main blocks produce crazy high rpm horsepower and never have an issue. Rods end up going well before the mains anyhow. I learned that a long time ago from an old timer motor builder. And that guys knew his sh*t.
  20. Damn again? Let's stick a big cone up there for those that don't know about that bad spot.
