Hey duners, get this year's poker run marked on your calendars! It's the 3rd Annual Dumont Poker Run presented by Friends of Dumont Dunes and DDR! It's on Saturday Nov 13th, That is 2 weeks after Halloween and 2 weeks before Thanksgiving weekend. I know last year everyone had a blast and we plan to do everything the same this year. There will be 5 checkpoints as usual as well as the MYSTERY checkpoint for an additional prize. The start & finish times are slightly different than last year so check the flyer. It went a little longer than needed for everyone to make their way to all checkpoints so we cut it back a little bit so everyone can get on with their weekends and get to shredding some sand. One thing that hasn't changed is the high payout to winners. A total of 50% of the net will go towards the winners for prize money. Then 25% to support DDR and 25% to support FoDD. All the proceeds go to either running this site or helping to keep your dunes open so it's a win win situation no matter what hand you end up having. Hope to see many of you out there. It's gonna be a great weekend!

Ok we need to haul a$ and get some DPOM submissions for October. We've been super busy with the site updates and haven't had much time to get this up so please submit a pic asap. Post up a pic now. (only one) The winner's dune pic will be posted on the homepage after the contest is over. The member's screen name will be posted up with it as well. You may also post a caption or description included with the pic. Please limit posts in this thread to pictures only. Dune Pic of the Month- Rules 1. The picture must be YOURS. Do not go surfing the internet looking for one to submit. You cannot post any copyrighted pics. 2. The picture must not have any watermarks or logos on it. 3. The picture must be at least 600 x 600 pixels. It will be displayed on the home page if it wins the most votes so therefore we would like it to be a decent size picture. 4. The picture must abide by the terms and conditions (rules) of this board. 5. Post only ONE picture per contest.

cheese, go back to the "future of DDR" thread And settle down grasshopper cheese, we had to switch servers first before doing any upgrades. Otherwise there would be a ton of down time and you'd probably have a seizure with no DDR fix, mafacka.

What no dune pics? Still too hot for my liking out there. And yeah, what Capt said, they usually don't grade the road until right before Halloween. I know it was way tore up back in July.

There is an icon called the Market. It's the Android Market. Many aps are free and you download them right from that to your phone.

The board software needs to be updated before being able to use that. We'll be working on that over the next week or so. There is an app called Tapatalk that works great with the new board, but it needs to be setup through the admin end of things 1st. We might not even need it though because the new forum software automatically switches to a mobile skin when surfing on your smart phone. We'll get all that dialed in when we get it all up and going though. There will be a whole thread about DDR's new mobile features.

Yep, it sure feels great to finally get it handled and have our own super speedy server for DDR. Thanks for all your hours of work you put in getting it all setup and swapped over, Nick. I owe you a fews beers and then some. I can't wait to get the new updates all dialed in. The site is gonna rock that much more.
