  1. Great shots Tim! I knew you'd love that lens. It has such a nice feel huh? I sometimes use my monopod with that lens if I'm at an event for a while. It does get heavy but that's the only drawback.
  2. Badass, Bert! She'll be up an running in no time. Knowing you, it will be sooner than later too.
  3. As most of you know, keeping other public lands open no matter where it is helps in our never-ending battle to keep our favorite riding areas open. Please take a few minutes to read this and make a phone call or send a message to one or more of the contact links below. From an e-mail I recently received.... Regarding the Gold Butte NCA/wilderness legislation, we, (PIC—Partners In Conservation and PLCC—Public Lands Conservation Committee) have been waiting for the moment when we will have the most impact. THAT MOMENT IS NOW!!!! If you care about the future of Gold Butte, please voice your opinion now! Contact info... 4. I didn't even hear about this until today. Looks like we lost another great comedian. He died from injuries he suffered from a car accident about a week ago. He was 60 yrs old. http://www.sheknows.com/entertainment/arti...es-in-car-crash <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.co/v/Xr2DYzC097g?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xr2DYzC097g?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
  5. Go figure...the one time I can't. I've called you for how many TT's lately?
  6. Great shots! I love that place. Wish I could have squeezed in a trip this summer. Oh well, next year for sure. Man I'm surprised that tire didn't eff up Mike's truck when it came apart! You guys got very lucky. That could have been ugly.
  7. I'm sure you can figure out which dates are holiday weekends for the new season. Look on our events page. They are updated there. As of course you'd get a 2010/2011 pass. Do you really think they'd send you a pass that is good through Sept 2010? I'll get that passes page updated asap just for you, Vic. Your a pretty smart guy and seem slightly confused about it. What would someone with less brains than you think when they read that? :clown: jk
  8. I forgot to close this. You won, Steve! Homepage already updated.
  9. I can't believe it was so empty! That's crazy. I remember pulling in there on Labor Day weekend and you couldn't even get between some camp sites. Sounds like an overall fun, relaxing weekend at Coral. Oh and what JJ said...PICS PICS PICS!
  10. This is great news. I think the off-road community consists of some of the best people out there especially when it comes time to pull together for a good cause.
  11. Droid 2 (with slide out keyboard as well). My texting already creates the conversation bubbles like you are talking about.
  12. How is that any different? I have a Droid 2 and it already does that. Which phone do you have, Mark? In her defense the ENV3 was a great phone and she took care of it; however, it died on it's own. We'll be picking her up a Droid 2 or x soon as well. And yes, extended warranty AND Asurion is already on my line and you can bet your a$$ it will be on hers. I just watched her feed fish today with wet hands, grabbing her phone while balancing on a platform over the huge tank at her work (with your old Razer with a cracked screen by the way)
  13. Super clean gauge setup & wiring in that first pic!
  14. Holy crap. This is kinda right near skinners too! http://www.fox5vegas.com/news/24897448/detail.html 1 fatality, 3 injured. Glad it wasn't any worse!
  15. About a week ago I picked up a new DROID2 phone. Yep, I gave in to the dickweed phone thing, but it's one of the best purchases I have ever made. This thing flat out rocks. There are pretty much endless apps out there and I know I have a few favorites, but am curious which ones other Droid users of DDR prefer and use. So far I have downloaded and used... Advanced Task killer- I hear it saves a ton of memory and battery life, seems to work great All the mobile banking apps (BofA, Wells Fargo, and Paypal) Barcode scanner- too damn cool. Look up info for any barcode you scan with your phone. Coupons app- use your phone as a coupon almost anywhere you go. Droid light- sweet simple flashlight app that utilizes the led flash. Also the color flashlight app works good too- use the whole screen and change it's color/ effects for light. Facebook- works "ok" to stay in touch with FB peeps, but needs some work. Doesn't refresh/ update very quickly. I hear there is an update in the works. Movies by Flickster- makes it auper easy to look up movie times, theaters and even watch high quality movie trailers. Pandora- simply amazing. I can even use it and stream music in my truck. Speedview- very cool and accurate app that displays your speed, altitude and direction using gps. Skype- haven't used it yet, but I will to chat with ragdoll in Iraq. Google Sky Map- hold your phone up to the sky and it tells you what stars are which. Tune In Radio- tune into ANY radio station, stream and listen free
  16. awesome! The only "old" dune pics I have are from like 2003 and I posted them in an older thread somewhere. Cool pics. I love seeing the old school days in the dunes.
  17. some more progress tonight. Rear shocks and coilovers are on. Trans is in. fuel cell in. Fuel pump mounted and probably more but I had to jam out. Some pics... lots of tubes! Melanie the lil helper
  18. Let's just say they took a little finessing. Looking at the pics of the progress you'd think those arms and shocks would have taken us like 45 minutes to put on. More like 3 hours!
  19. progress! We got the suspension hung tonight minus the rear shocks.
  20. nope that's the only way online. All other places are in person or by mail. Just give it a couple weeks. The new ones should probably be updated and on there. Or just call the BLM and order one over the phone!
  21. So far they are the same as last year... http://www.dumontduneriders.com/passes.html or http://www.blm.gov/ca/st/en/fo/barstow/dumont.html
